In a routine I'm doing on a spinning pole, I do a rainbow and come up to a pole sit and then slide down the pole (one leg straight and one leg bent).  By the time I slide down the pole, I have stopped spinning.  Is there a technique to slide down in such a way that you make the pole spin?  I've only done this kind of dismount on static, and whenever I do it on spin, it's like the fact that the pole can move cancels out the momentum I get from swinging my leg around to dismount.  Tips?

use the right leg to generate momentum– don't fight the spin on the pole, you may ened to do the spinning dismount in the opposite direction that you're used to.

so would it be better to swing my outside leg back or forward, or does it not matter?

the direction fo the pole and the direction of the swing of your leg both matter. they need to be in the same direction.
