  Ok here i go again with questions…anyone 's ceiling ever crack from using an xpole?

  Nope! You need to find the stud to anchor it to though. I have 2 up in a small apartment. They have been up for almost 4 years and only come down for cleaning.

  Not me, but a girl I jam with, one of her friends tightened it too much and it popped right through:/ but that was not by malfunction of the pole, just was put up too tight, and she didn’t bother to find the joist.

  It has not happened to me but I have read of it happening to a few people here on SV.  Generally it is an issue of either too tight, not under a joist or plaster ceilings.
