i am going to visit my mom in New Bern, NC from may 23-28, so i am looking for a pole studio in that area.  i found one in Greenville called fitness by vidal.  has anyone tried it?  i also found one called vertical fitness but it looks like they are not there anymore.  also if there are any of you in that area i would love to meet up for a pole jam!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

my mother in law is in New Bern! But of course doesn't pole. But I'd be interested in what you find out about pole studio's in the area.

I’d also like to know what’s in the Greenville,Wilmington, and Topsail Island areas. I have friends in Greenville, NC and every summer we visit then drive to Surf City/Topsail Island for a week. I’d love to visit a pole studio this summer during my trip. I’m also interested in the Anderson, SC area as well-if anyone knows of any studios, let me know!

Fitness by Vidal seems more like a gym than a pole studio and the only 2 trainers they have listed are guys.

The only other places I could find were 1.5 hours away.  Jacksonville has Studio Pink and Raleigh has Aradia.

Flow Fitness in Wilmington (http://www.facebook.com/flowfitnessstudio) and also possibly A Whole Lotta Pole also in Wilmington.  Whole Lotta Pole is/was owned by a burlesque dancer and can be contacted through: http://www.thepeepshowcabaret.com/contact.html

This place also looks like fun in Wilmington: http://www.strengthandelegance.com/Strength_and_Elegance.html

A friend of mine was looking into Vidal (she lives in G*vegas…I mean Greenville) and didn't really get a good vibe from it. I'm not sure she ever visted the studio, but couldn't get someone on the phone to give her the details I told her to ask about (instructors, pole types and heights, things you learn in class, etc).  Greenville is, in general, a little bit of a sketchy town, so I'd check out any studio with a fine toothed comb.

Wilmington has a few studios.  One of the girls who goes to my studio (Aradia in Raleigh–highly reccommended) took classes in Wilimington, but couldn't find anyone she felt could help her move into more advanced moves. That's mostly hearsay, tho.

Raleigh has some really great studios if you want to make the drive–Aradia is my home.  The instructors are super solid and there's a lot of really fun flow, coreography, and sexy classes throughout the week.  There's also TML Fitness which I've not been to, but I know one of the girls who teaches there and she's amazing.

Jacksonville is probably a pretty good town for pole dance–it's a lot of military.  Just be really careful driving through as there's typically a LOT of cops between Jacksonville and New Bern and the road is sooo booooring omg.

(Haha, guess who grew up in New Bern?  ðŸ˜€ )

That's my $.02. There's a lot of neat things to do in the RDU area, so maybe you and your mom could make a day of it, see a show, go to the museum, eat at a nice resturant (recommend: An or Croquette unless you guys are veggies, then Remedy Diner) , and hit up a pole class or two.  ðŸ™‚
