I just tried Super Blue Stuff for the first time and I really like it – it seems comparable to Icy Hot in that they both feel cooling and soothing, although as far as I can tell, I think Super Blue Stuff smells better and sinks in much faster.  However, Super Blue Stuff is also a little more expensive and I can only find it online.  Also, I haven't tried Icy Hot extra strength balm and I'm out of the Super Blue sample, but they appear to have comparable reviews on Amazon.

I was wondering if anyone else has tried both of these things and has an idea about which they like better?  I'd primarily be using it for bruising and sore muscles….

    Thanks!

I have tried both and I think Super Blue Stuff is FARRRRR superior!  I tried an experiment a couple of different times after some hard sessions of poling, where I used Super Blue Stuff on one side and Icy Hot on the other.  The next day, my muscles felt so much better on the side I used Super Blue Stuff.  There was a HUGE difference in how sore one side of my body was verses the other.  Plus, I can't stand the smell of Icy Hot so that is two strikes against it.  That being said, it didn't do anything for the bruising – only sore muscles.  For the bruising, I use Arnicare and I SWEAR by that!  I bruise easily, I bruise BLACK, and I bruise BIG!  Arnicare helps these problems.  It also makes my bruises feel MUCH better.  As far as where to find Super Blue Stuff:  Do you have a King Soopers, City Market or Krogers?  They usually carry it and if they don't, just ask them and they will order it for you.  If you don't have these, I would ask your local supermarket if they could order it in – also ask in the pharmacy if they would order it for you.  (I think I MIGHT have seen it at Target also, but not positive.)  The Arnicare can usually be found at any speciality food stores, especially organic and natural food stores – Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage – or online.  Hope this helps!

I haven’t tried the Super Blue Stuff but I do use arnica gel and absolutely love it! It’s for sore muscles and bruises but I only use it for sore muscles. I have used icy hot before, it does not even compare to arnica gel. Plus the arnica gel smells good 🙂 If you want to try it I bought mine at GNC.

Thanks!  I'll definitely be getting Super Blue Stuff then.  I didn't even think to check Kroger.

And I've tried arnica gel (I also have Arnicare) too – for some reason I don't really seem to notice much difference whether I use it or not…maybe I just need to keep trying because it seems like everyone is in love with it!

I used to use Icy hot until I tried the arbonne version my husband and I both think it works much better and its all natural 🙂 it really helps muscle soreness. My second favorite is the one my chiro uses but grrr I can't remember the name and its not in stores (neither is the Arbonne, its a product line I sell) I love arnica for bruises.
