I have been thinking of getting a tatt for several years. I am 53 and I want something tiny in a place that I can easily cover up. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have a tattoo on my upper thigh, and it hides pretty well except in summer when I’m wearing shorts. Then it peeks out the bottom a little. It’s not small, though. If you want to see, one of my challenge videos, the one with the roller, shows it. Hips can also hide pretty well.

I’ve got my son’s name high on my rib cage. Its next to my boob under my arm (if that makes sense) so bra straps and tops with similar thicker straps hide it. The only thing that doesn’t it a bikini with string style straps. It took me 10 years to decide what I wanted tattooed on my body forever. Then my son came along and I knew.

I have a few tattoos and my first couple I wanted to be in a place I could conceal….as I got more I wanted to show them more…you spend money to get something beautiful…you should be able to show it. They are addicting so enjoy your first then be ready for your next piece of art and don’t be afraid to enjoy it and show it. By the way all of mine are not seen unless I’m in a bikini or shorts…but I’m always thinking I want another one.

If you’re going to get something small make sure it’s really simple. As small tattoos age they can blur and turn into a blob. I have a student who got a Chinese symbol when she was younger and now it doesn’t look like anything… just a gray blob. I suggest thinking really hard about something that will represent where you are in life right now, what your passion is, or make if family related. And I recommend you get something that’s at least 3″x3″ or so, so that the art stays nice in years to come. Get a high quality experienced artist. They’re more expensive but worth it. They’ll have great advice for you. The rib cage is a nice place to get it that’s concealable but it does hurt a bit more they. But if you’re a pole dancer already you can handle it. 😉 Let us know what you decide to get! 🙂

I got my first one (and only one so far) in a place I could conceal. It is right underneath my breast, on my ribs… its a hair below the curve of an underwire would be, if you know what I mean. Fair warning, rib tattoos hurt a bit, and I was actually advised multiple times not to get my first one there. I don’t think it was that bad until it started curing towards my side (if that makes sense). I can take a picture if you need to. 🙂

I really love my tattoo but my husband hates them, so mine is on my lower back, kind of kidney area so you only see it if I’m on the beach in a bikini. I have my children’s birth flowers, a daisy, rose and carnation. Think about it for a year would be my advice and research artists. They all have their own style and strengths. My artist just does flowers and she has a degree in fine art, so I knew she was the one!
