ANY pole can come down if its not installed properly….I had a PERMANENT POLE fall down with me at the top! I was lucky enough to jump off. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif Always read instructions carefully.

One of those, right around 1:15, I’m pretty sure is one of those Peek-a-boo poles. It seems to have sections like the ones I’ve seen, and they are REALLY not stable!
I hope all those people are okay! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
This is why I usually get my stepdad to install my pole…he’s strong! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Ok. Here it is. Most of those were just people falling and had nothing to do w the pole. The others were obviously not xpoles. There was one, maybee two that looked like they could have been xpoles that were installed wrong. Don’t worry girls!!!!! Just make sure everything is installed correctly and don’t use a janky ass pole! LOL!!!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Oh DAMN! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif Some of those looked PAINFUL! Particularly the blonde gal that landed on her head/neck! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif NOT cool! Ya I would say that due diligence is extremely important!!!

The second one looked like she had a pillow between the pole and the ceiling (stupid yes, but why else would a pillow fall from the ceiling as the pole comes down), the 4th one the pole was obviously loose on the first spin so it was dumb to keep spinning on it, and the others just looked like bad installation.

I had my x-pole fall once because I hadn’t tightened it enough and I hadn’t throughly tested that it was tight enough. But ever since then not a single problem. My bf will run, jump and cling to it to do a quick spin and the thing won’t come down (I worry but hasn’t happened…yet).

usually i have a hard time laughing at these, but the one where the guy is doing it and it starts to wobble and you see the woman run in to try to catch it was pretty funny. also i hate watching the one with the girl at the end because she is doing SO WELL and it all looks so pretty. she is smart in the way that she falls though, you can see her roll out of the way to keep the pole from hitting her in the head at the end. i think everyone should practice falling out of things, because it can happen to anyone on any pole. just be sure to secure it properly, as everyone has been saying, and know how to fall out of things and you will be safe.

The last video IS really pretty before her pole wipes out. Here is a link to the whole video. I like her style.

You know, this reminds me…I had a pole almost fall on me, once. The exact same kind of pole I own, too!
My friend at the time had one, and we were having ourselves a little pole jam…she installed it herself, and I should have thought of this before even trying anything (silly me!) because she’s a slight little thing, and probably didn’t think much of it…
Apparently she doesn’t put much weight or pressure on the pole when she dances, but my extra 50 pounds or so swingin’ around that thing had it right out. Lucky I was cautious, and only doing a half-spin! Both feet on the ground, so nothing got broken.
So, I agree with everyone else…make sure you install your pole properly! I would dread to think (even though we aren’t friends anymore) what would happen to her if she started inverting or getting into some more advanced spins with her pole like that! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

I remember watching a pole competition recently where I believe a Russian competitor was thrown off a spinny pole when it came down.

The studio I go to had a PS pole break right in the middle.

Any pole can shift after installation, especially when you think about us flinging our bodies around on it like we do. It really should be checked routinely (like before use).

Yes, Chem is right, get in the habit of checking your pole EVERY TIME before you pole. I do and I have had to tighten it from time to time. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

I remember that. You were just too much woman for that pole to handle LOL. You handled it well though. What’d they do with that pole anyway? Did they fix it?
