Does anybody have any good tips for spinning smoothly and continuously while on spin mode? I'm trying to string more moves together so that I stay on the pole longer without coming back to the floor, but too often I slow down to a stop when I don't want to.  I know the basic idea that elongated moves slow you down and moves that are tighter to the pole speed you up, but I can't seem to put this into practice realistically – and maybe I just don't know enough yet to really make it work…?

Catch a good strong rotation in your ascent.  A lot of spinners at first feel like they are "going too fast" but with time and control, that feeling will abate, because you know you need that rotation to last throughout your aerial combo. And what feels like "OMG!" while your close to the pole USUALLY doesn't look out of control to your audience.  Plan your combinations to be away, then close to the pole so you can help maintain that spin.  I'm sure you've found that the tighter you are to the pole the quicker your rotation is.  I prefer to use a Showgirl Climb on spin since it keeps my core closer to the pole while I climb, thus enabling me to maintain a quicker rotation during that ascent.
