    LOL! That's an awsome thread!

I have very sensitive nose – I identify people by smell (I can tell who is in the office by the sniffing the air), I know who was in the toilet before me by the smell of their poop (or whether it was a man or a woman if I don't know the person), and I can tell when people are sick by smelling their breath from across the room.

I remember words with colors (which makes it really difficult to distinguish between words with similar colors).

I can raise each one of my eyebrows separately

I can make my butt chicks bounce really quickly 🙂

I can make a little tube with my tounge, rotate it 180' to each side and tie cherry stems with no hands 🙂

LillyBilly, do you have synaesthesia? Because I do, and I identify colors by sound.

So fun to read all of your “useless talents!” I can put my feet behind my neck so I look like a pretzel!

I can write in cursive, upside down and backwards.  So, if you look in a mirror and stand on your head you can read what I write!

I can write upside down and backwards, too. I can also write with both my feet, though it’s not pretty. I can tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue, and put sunscreen on my back by myself. I also have incredible spacial awareness like chem, but this has proved more useful than useless (i have that same knack for watching a move and knowing how to do it/get into it and can explain it to others). I can also accurately pick up accents, which allows me to speak foreign languages like a native. I’ve also picked up british accents while speaking to people, not realized it, and had them get offended- I start out speaking like an american and end up sounding like them! This is totally unconscious and I don’t do it on purpose; in fact I have to work very hard NOT to do it.

I attribute male/female to inanimate objects. Each day of the week or days in a month has a color attached to it as well. Like when I think of a calender it isn't M-S its different colors and thats how I know the day of the week, hard to explain. Smells have colors as well and vice versa lol I have pretty bad synaesthesia 🙂 it can make it really hard to communicate my thoughts to people as well since I think in smells/colours and sometimes I can't translate it into words. My husband thinks its funny because sometimes i will seriously bust out stuff like "if only you could smell what I was thinking" lol

I pick up on body language cues entirely differently from most people too. Like if someone smiles at me with a lot of teeth showing I feel threatened etc. I connect with animals more than people, go figure 🙂

I can also walk into a room and immediately know how every person is feeling. I pick up on moods so easily it makes it hard to be around large groups of people. Once again why i prefer hanging out with animals more than people. And yes I admit to having the propensity to turn into a crazy cat lady lol

I wouldn't call any of these talents however, just things that make it very hard to function in the everyday social world

@megan12: I'm a speed reader too! I can read about 500 pages in an hour or so. The way I describe it to people is like this- when I look at a tree i don't say the word tree in my head i just know what it is. I do that with words, i don't repeat them in my head i just look at them and know what they are. Is that how you read too? With no real internal dialogue?

Jivete! I can whinny, too!! I get so many horses talking back to me, too. Hahah. I my friends with horses love it, 'cause when I neigh at their horses, they (the horses) become so alert and look great in photos. It's well fun. 🙂

I can communicate well with most animals..to be honest. Alpaca is a fun one. 😛

Not such a fun one, but I've got a really keen sense on who has had, or is (less impressive) depression/depressed.

I can read backwards very easily. Also can say words backwards easily. My favourite is Playstation.. Noitatsyalp is an awesome word. 😛

    This thread is awesome haha.

@CreativityBySteffie – I don't know, maybe… The image at the top of the wikipedia article about synesthesia is similar to how I see words, only my colors are really "washed out" and what they write about numbers having a location in space seems right.

@Juliana Dentata Being really sensitive to how people feel sound interesting. I can never tell how anyone around me is feeling – I just project whatever is going in my head onto them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

But I can see how it can create a problem – I guess many of our normal interactions depend on being able to hide our immediate feelings about things…

Also SPEED READING – YEAH! I want this!

I can shake my eyeballs, my husband thinks its creepy and tells me to stop. LOL
Also, I can turn my feet in to point towards each other and then Continue until they point slightly backwards as well. Completely Useless, Since when dancing a turn OUT is generally desired.
I can also do the controlled eardrums thing.
