So I love doing the split heel and then going into cupid/knee swing and marley from there, but I always get into it by putting my lower foot on the pole then lifting my other leg up sideways and planting my calf against the top. Unfortunately I can’t do that with heels on. So I am wondering what other ways you can get into it without having to place the bottom foot on the pole. Any ideas?

we were trying out a similar thing the other day– going into prana’s version of a spatchcock, but the legs are really close to a split heel. try starting in ext butterfly, and controlling that trailing leg (the one that isn’t on the pole) as you swing it down to the pole.

you may be able to get into it from gemini ( using outside leg to hang than reaching above it ..actually let me just do a quick vid tutorial to see if this is what you even mean .. will have it up in less than 10mins,..

Thanks ladies, both of those sound like fine ideas. Only problem is I gemini and butterfly best with my R leg hooked and I need to have my L knee hooked for my kneeswing/kneehold/marley. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif Oh well, guess I ‘ll have to practice more on my weaker side if i want to do it another way! In the meantime, I’ll just have to side climb to get into it.

Pole Twista- I couldn’t find your video, what it is titled?
