I purchased the carmen electra pole. I wanted to get the x pole but my funds said different. I thought it would be ok because they were on the same web page. I hope i didnt make a bad choice im kind of nervous.

Asia, if it was recently, I’d try to get your money back on the Carmen Electra pole and save up a little more for an X.

I’ve heard there’s been quite a few problems with the Electra pole including; it’s stuck to the ceiling with a sticky spot (so if that slips there is nothing to stop the pole falling down, the X-pole has a large dome with a rubber insert – I have never brought an X pole down and I can be pretty rough on my poles), the screw being attached to the pole (so if you spin a certain direction it unscrews the pole) and I know some more advanced polers that took only 30 seconds to break it.

Chalk this one up to experience, poles really need a lot of research into to find the safest ones

I did invest in the x-pole i feel better about doing that. It is a good investment i really didn’t want to make right now but im getting my money back on the electra pole so im ok.

speaking from personal experience, i bought a carmen pole from spencer and WASTED $160. only way i found that it works effectively, is if you have a house where you can have it BOLTED to the ceiling otherwise, no. I’m pissed that I didn’t read this before now so now i have to buy another one. don’t get this if you are an apt/condo and the roof isn’t yours to pry it into.
