take a rest day or two. yes, this will continue to happen as you pole. you are amazing one day, the next day you might suck. usually you are just tired or sore and need a rest day or two. dont let it bother you. you are not gonna lose everything you worked for over night. you might just need more rest or to vary the things you are working on so that you are not stressing one body part or muscle over and over.

No, I’m not practicing everyday, I usually go to a pole class twice a week, Mon and Weds, and am doing the thirty day take off, but try to line it up so that my pole studio days line up with my veena work days, and then rejuvination days in between. I try not to do anything at all Fridays and Tuesdays. I do go to yoga though, twice a week, on Thursdays and Mondays. My teacher made up this crazy plank series. I decided to not go to yoga this week, because I didn’t want to over work my shoulders. Thursday was a rejunivation day, but I tried to do a little work, because I was feeling ancy without yoga, and I couldn’t do anything. Probably just should have let it alone.

amazingly, sometimes things like the weather affect my poling! seriously, if its too dry too humid, too hot, too cold, etc. those things affect how I stick to the pole and I may or may not have a great day because of it. sometimes not enough sleep, not eating right. the good thing is that the bad pole session is temporary. it goes away. try to just work through those bad days and do what you CAN do. if all you can do is a body roll or a pole sit. just do that and do it as best as you can. it’s kind of good to work through those bad pole sessions and still try to function. it teaches you that you are stronger than what you think. just do easier things if you have to or do floorwork or just dance or stretch.

Once you’ve been poling for 6 months or more, you’ll be amazed what can happen when you take a week or two off from poling. Now….it is only amazingly good when you keep it to a week or so off every 6 months or so! Don’t get lazy like me and take a month off afyer only 6 weeks back LOL.

Sounds like you’re doing a nice job of trying not to over do it. Are you making sure you’re eating enough Protein and Carbs after you workout? Also are you sleeping well. Sometimes it’s things of that nature that end up making us feel worn out.
