what’s your wobbly bits
Posted by zoeyxxxx on November 5, 2012 at 5:52 pmSo I found most places easy to tone. But the top of the legs on the inside at the very top close to the lady bits haha are wobbly still. Any tips. I know we all have wobbly bits that are harder to tone. So though buy sharing info we mite all be closer to losing our wobbly bits 🙂

When I gain weight I gain fat in my arms. My legs used to be perfect and if I REALLY wanted to, I could go back to playing tennis to get them back to what they used to be but I’m happy with them as is.
when I first started poleing I had biceps like a mofo, but then 3 months off the pole and I had some serious deteriation. I’m going to take this month off of learning to retrain my upper body so I’ll stop hurting myself.

My "wobbly bits" are my belly, thighs, chest and upper arms.
And, I love them.
Areas of fat are decided by your body, based on something I don't think we fully understand in the fitness world. Maintaining at least 11% body fat is considered healthy for women, but your body may decide that said 11% should be stored, say, in your thighs, and not in your bra. I've noticed that a lot of women keep it on their belly, which probably has something to do with having children.
However, to get rid of these kinds of areas you have to understand how the body uses fat. Fat is a very efficient way of storing energy, or "calories," and that's why we have it on our bodies. When we go into the "aerobic state" of exercise (usually about 20 minutes into a workout, when we suddenly feel less like we're struggling and it all works well) we are able to burn that fat. Fat can only be used by the body in the presence of oxygen, or the "aerobic state."
So, if you want to get rid of those tougher "wobbly bits," you need to work your whole body. Spot-toning doesn't work, because you're only working the muscle- the fat doesn't have much to do with which muscles you're using. So, you're going to have to work hard, work your whole body, and try to bring your body fat content lower.

I second the underbutt…this is the main place where my body loves to store my fat.

Definitely tummy and thighs. Tummy is the HARDEST for me to slim down.. but I know deep in my soul that it is the extra sugary snacks that I tend to eat. If I cut those out and up the natural protein, I'd be solid. The reason why I don't follow through is beyond me.. maybe this little post will kick my diet into training mode.. hmmmhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif <33

@zoeyxxxx: It's true what Runemist says about spot reducing fat – that it isn't possible, but you could at least work on the muscles in the wobbly areas to possibly make them a bit firmer.
Do you do flexibility training? I've noticed that when I do active splits training, meaning that I'm not, or not only, using gravity to perform splits, but also the muscles A LOT, I always feel sore in the muscles on the days after in exactly the regions that you are describing and the lower part of the bum.
If you like such things you can find a number of useful positions for this kind of training in a vid I posted here recently:

It doesn't matter if you are very flexible or not, you'll be working the same muscles anyway just by pulling your legs apart trying to take your split to max and hold it for a while.

I have been working on my splits and trying some resistant stretchin. I’m sure if I work hard enough it will get there. Do you have any split tips. I’m on my phone so it wnt let me watch videos for sum reason 🙁

I had a look at your video. Thsts great work but I cnt get in any of them moves lol

Like I mentioned, you don't have to be able to perform full splits or oversplit, it is the exercise in itself which will help you work your muscles. It only takes that you try to do them.
The oversplit with the green supports is just passive stretching using gravity so it's not interesting either:).
