    I have been practicing lots of spins, and I’m having some wrist and forearm pain. Has anyone else had any trouble with this? I don’t want to have to quit practicing. I’ve only had my pole up for about 5 days, and I’ve been getting on it some every day, maybe I’m just doing to much to fast. Does anyone have any suggestions for strengthening exercises?

    I always tell new dancers to dance every other day! Not every day, pole is a full body work out. Your muscles need time to repair themselves.     yeah I think I know exactly what you mean! when I first started poling I used to get terrible pains in my wrists and forearms. But now that I’ve built up strength I don’t get those pains anymore. So I THINK it was because I was putting too much pressure on my wrists and didnt have the strength that I needed to properly support myself. So just take it slowly and don’t overwork yourself.     are you doing any spins that require a split grip? If so..you may want to lay off. you may not have built up enough strength or flexibility in your wrists/forearms to withstand the demands of this grips.
