x pole permanent mount?
Hello! frustrated with my short pole at my house, i asked my grandmother if I could set a pole up at her house and she said yes! she has 12ft ceilings, so needless to say i am very excited. However, I feel it may be best to use a permanent mount because the ceilings are so high. I already got the pole i will be using (40mm brass) but now I am thinking I should go ahead and order the permanent mount just to be on the safe side. My question is, how do you ensure that the permanent mount is screwed into the joist/beam? The pole will be going in a first floor room, so there isn’t an attic that i could go in and make sure. I’ve read that often times the permanent mount is too wide to fit all of the screws in a ceiling joist? If anyone could give me some tips or help clear this up i would be very thankful! I have had my current pole fall down while i was in a very fast pretzel spin, and it scared the crap out of me and I can only imagine how much more disastrous it would be if i was 12ft high in the air when that happened.
