I just got my xpert chrome yesterday and in putting it up now the a pole won’t rotate on the adjuster even with the screws fully out. I tried putting lube on it, even got my husband to try to force it to twist but it will not budge at all. Idk what to do :/ I tried ice packs around it as well. What are my other options?

What adjuster and what screws do you have out?

The height adjuster at the bottom is stuck. I removed the three hex screws at the base of the a pole to allow it to move up and down but it won’t budge. I think I may have over tightened it when I screwed it on.

There are screws that are hidden by the adjuster cover, tehre are screws that put it into spin mode and there are screws that are just above where the adjuster cover site.  You should not touch the ones that are right above the adjuster cover.  You need to lower the cover and loosen those screws if you are trying to adjust the height of your pole.  When you tighten them make sure that they line up with the channels in the threaded piece.  To put it in spin mode you unscrew the hex that lines up with the X on the base of the pole.

The 3 that are shown in on the top of this photo should never get touched, the one on the bottom puts it in spin.

Ohhh…. I undid the screws at the top of the photo… I will see if I can find the screws under the adjuster cover and try again

The only screws under the cover say do not touch in the manual. It’s telling me to undo the three screws shown in the photo

The ones (3x) at the top of the picture are the adjuster locks. They absolutely need to be undone to adjust the pole up and down!

The 2 right at the bottom of the pic are the static/spin locks and also allow you to take the base off.

There are also 2 underneath the adjuster cover which should never be touched (you'll have to screw the adjuster cover down to see them) These allow the adjuster itself to be taken out of the bottom part of the A-Piece – NOT something you would ever have to do!

There are also 4 on the underside of the base. Again, you should never need to use these, but you might occasionally have to make sure they are tightened.

Just to add, if you didn't line up the 3 hex screws with the flat parts of the adjuster thread when you first put it up, you WILL have damaged the adjuster thread, and could be the reason it won't screw down. (I've had at least 2 students do this, and we had to replace the A-Piece)

Agggghhhh…I am sorry.  It is those 3 at the top.

This is what I get for going off memory and not the instructions.  For some reason I did not think these were visible when the adjustor cover was in place.

I'm sure it would make sense if they were hidden! Especially as the cover comes down independantly!

So i spoke with the tech manager at xpole and turns out I jacked up the threading by lowering it at an angle. So they are sending me a new a pole. Next time I willDEFINITELY do nothing except what the manual says.
