So I've had my xpert pole up for a couple months and haven't been using it too heavily until recently since I'm now learning more advanced moves.  That means I haven't been using the spin mode very much, so I haven't noticed this problem until now: my pole started bowing!  It isn't noticable until I spin the pole and then I can see it and hear it make a clicking sound.

Also I only noticed just now because it seemed fine when I was using it on spin last night and this afternoon until I heard a cracking sound in the middle of a spin today and then it started to click.  I'm going to take it down later tonight so until then I can't tell if anything is broken yet.

I'm sure the problem could be that it might have been over-tightened the last time I put it up and maybe it is not perfectly level, but what do I do now???  If I take it down and reassemble it and check that it's level, can I still use it without damaging it further or creating a safety hazard?

I am having the same issue with "bowing" and clicking/cracking. I have been using the pole for a little over a month and the issue just started. Everything seems to be functioning properly, so I am not sure whether the bowing and noises are actually an issue or the alignment is out of whack.

That said, I already undid the pole and realligned it with the ceiling, assuming something was off because of angle (my ceiling and floor are NOT even).  The issue seemed to go away for a few minutes, but as soon as I started spinning and climbing, the bowing and clicking came back, even worse.

I read that the pole is supposed to bend slightly to accomodate your movements, but I don't think this is what they meant. Anyone out there, if you have any thoughts or advice, I will greatly appreciate it.

Before I took my pole down tonight I bought a vertical level and checked to see if the pole was off – and it wasn't! It was perfectly level.  I don't get it!

I've also had the same issue. They have ben great with customer service.  My x-joint fot stuck, and my A pole was scratched.   Those replaced, however, I'm having the issue is bowing…I'm not sure what to do, and am embarrassed to keep on calling x-pole.

I'd be happy to hear other suggestions.

I took my pole apart, reassembled, and repositioned it. I no longer had the crazy bowing or cracking sound. However, I had to take my pole down again when my parents came to visit (heh), and when I put it back up, the cracking was back (though not as badly). When I readjusted again, it went away.

So it may just be an allignment issue – if the pole is too angled or the parts are not aligned properly, the joints may be rubbing in spin mode (that is what it sounds like and feels like, above the x-joint in the A pole)

It is really frustrating is you have an angled floor and/or ceiling – it seems like it takes me a while to set up my pole, since my floor and ceiling have a slope – finding that perfect allignment can be tough!

That is all I got for now – hang in there!
