xpole shifted out of xjoint grooves
I was hosting a pole party this weekend and when taking my pole down at the venue at the end of the night i noticed my pole was not lined up with the xjoint holes on the bottom half of the pole. I was able to remove the top half of the pole because the holes were lined up but now i have the bottom half of the pole not lined up with the holes and i cant take it apart. I mean i guess i can still use the pole, but im just scared. its still tightened, which is why i cant take it off…i dunno has anyone ever experienced this before and know what to do? Are u guys lost? ( cause i know i can be confusing)

Its a problem with the new xpert, and unless you have it SUPER tight..it will do that..i’ve had it happen to me a couple of times as well as some of the other girls here. I know there is a post about it somewhere around here. A couple of them said to take a broom stick and knock it out really hard. GL! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

We use a piece of conduit to knock ours apart when it happens
It’s in one of those threads but it’s not just only how tight you crank the hex screws, it’s doing each one a little at a time back and forth rather than tightening one all the way then the other all the way that really makes a difference.
So really tight but back and forth between the two of them.

my pole is the 50mm chrome x-pole that can be used spinny or static. But there are none of these x-joints on it. I simply had to screw the pole together, tighten etc and I had a lovely, sturdy pole. I’ve been thinking of buying a new pole now for my new house rather than moving my previous pole up, BUT.. all this x-joint trouble has put me off buying another one. It sounds like a hell of a lot of hassle. Particularly since I’ll be putting the pole together by myself. Is there anyway to buy the old style x-pert? With none of this x-joint nonsense?!

Polefairy – What you’re talking about is the original plain ol’ X-Poles – there is no "old style X-Pert" because the X-Pert is the pole with the X-joints by definition. I’m not trying to lecture – just an FYI https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
The original X-Poles with the threaded joints are still available, but you need to call X-Pole to order them – they aren’t available online. I have one of the original 50mm ones, too, and I wanted a 45mm without buying a whole new pole. So I emailed X-Pole asking if I could order just the pole pieces for a 45mm without buying a new base and dome, and they said of course and to call them to place an order. I know they came out with the X-joints in the hopes of avoiding the stuck pieces that happened frequently with the old threaded joints, but it seems people are still having problems, anyway… While I wish my pole was bottom-loading, I have absolutely no problems with the old threaded joints!

thanks for the correction Journey, I was looking on x-poles website and was trying to figure out what the old style pole was called and all I gathered from the site was that an x-pert is one which spins and stays static.
