No matter how long I've been holding, no matter how many similar moves I can do, and no matter how much excellent advice I get, I STILL can't do the cupid! Please don't tell me it's all in the hips, I already know that:) One time when my flexibility works against me! There was one incandescent day several years ago when I did it once brilliantly and that was a magical moment but the elusive cupid has not been seen since *sob*…

Also, the Marion Amber is still proving elusive but I'm hoping that at least one of the pole people I see when I'm overseas next month will be able to help with that!

I forgot about cupid! I still can't do that either, I pretty much gave up on it forever ago and said "not meant to be". LOL

Still cannot do the Rockstar Spin!

    I currently struggle with:

Cupid (can hold for about 3 seconds and seems to kill my hamstring)

    Spinning dismount

    Superman

Noodle! Used to be able to do it but feels like I’m almost breaking my foot when I try to do it now!

Some of the moves I know have been harder than others. But I only have one nemesis. The plank! Not even advanced but regular plank!

I dont get it, I can spin on the pole using one leg, but I cant plank? It was one of the first three moves I wanted to learn. Crusifix – polesit and plank. Now a year after, I still cant get it. I dont even think its an interesting move anymore, but I just need to be able to do it. If I ever learn it, I problably wont use it ever, I have really come to hate it! 🙂

But I'll never give up!! 😀

    Twisted grip handspring!

The split grip and true grip handsprings came really easily – but I cannot get into the twisted grip anything for the life of me.  I can even lift into the handspring without any momentum from the split grip – but every time I try the twisted grip I feel like I'm going to dislocate something (or everything).

Superman. Efffing superman has been my nemesis forEVER. I can do so many things that require more strength and flexibility than superman, yet it has eluded me for 2 years. It's mental, I know it is. Karol has tried to help me. Jamilla has tried to help me. My fellow instructors have tried to help me. But no. Superman says no no no. Maybe it's to keep me humble. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

And I'm with chemgoddess on the SG aysha/jacknife/straightedge. I cannot find my point of balance. I can EG and forearm grip alllll day long but split, not so much.

It's funny how everyone's body is different… Many girls here said that they can do all these ayeshas/jacknife/cartwheels and handsprings and whatever, but that their superman/twisted grips are not good, while I can't do any move that requires me to balance up side down  with my my legs in the air for the life of me, but every move that starts/ends with a superman (or resembles a superman or whose name sounds remotely like superman or that once saw a sperman from afar) I can do with no problem, and twisted grip is practically the only one I use…

Unfortunately I stopped doing superman cos it seems like it's giving me strech marks on my hips, so it's kind of a nemesis trick for me as well 😀

Just this week beat my longest nemesis: sg handspring. YAY!!!! I was like Kyrelle could do all other cartwheels/handsprings but not sg. Drove me nuts!

    Current:

    -Freaking Marion Amber

    -Flag invert

    -Handstand press

-Spinning aerial fan kicks. *I get confused and it hurst my boob. Seriously always squish my boob*

Anyone who can help with any of them I would gladly listen.

While there are LOTS of moves I can't do … here's a list of things from Veenas lessons that I *should* be able to do, based on the difficulty of the other things I can do, but just can't seem to get for month or stopped working on completely:

    – cradle spin on static (I just don't spin at all^^)

    – forward attitude spin on static

    – corkscrew spin

    – reverse grab spin (Got it one time, but then never again ..)

    – rockstar spin (I reach the ground before I can even place my legs^^)

    – any kind of spin combination on static mode (the spin is usually over before the second spin starts)

    – (twisted) ballerina (Hurts too much^^)

    – x ankle climb with the lower hand against the pole (can do it with my forearm against the pole)

    – advanced plank on a 45mm pole (50mm is okay)

    – elbowstand situp (The point where I have to take the weight with my legs and raise the upper body up freaks me out)

    – star/cupid (I just slide right down …)

Well, some of the moves on this list I don't NEED to get, but it would be nice if one day I learned how to do a few of these things 🙂

TG lift – it's hit or miss and that is so frustrating

Iron X – can't hold it very long

Split grip Marion Amber – can get it only 20% of the time

    Phoenix – 50-50

    Jade

    Tick Tock

I have some  new combos too I started playing with that I haven't seen before that require opposite air cradle mounting – which I could use some work on.
