    Hi there,
I am desperately trying to make aerial yoga work for me at my home, however I have very low ceilings. Just shy of 7”.
Please someone let me know the minimum ceiling height.
    Thank you in advance.

    HI!
I’m not an expert all, but I find that there are things that are completely doable with a low ceiling height (mine is 8 feet) and other things that become more difficult or not doable unless more height is available. For example, I find the hip key hinge more difficult at home (8 ft) than when at a studio with 12 ft ceilings. I think your height might also matter – I’m just barely 5 ft tall. I think, too, that hanging the hammock from a single point gives the hammock a very different feel from and hanging from two points, particularly with a low ceiling. I don’t know what the “official” recommendations are, so I thought I ‘d just share my personal experience….

I’ve got a rig at home on an 8′ ceiling. The height does limit what I can do with my hammock and my silks, but I still feel like it was worth it, especially to keep up with conditioning. I saved a few inches by not using a swivel. I’m taller, but I can also mention my son, who’s just under 5′ (you mentioned you are slightly over 5′) can still do a lot of tricks on it.
