Hi everyone… here is my situation. I have had a baby 13 months ago and I put on quite a bit of weight and have lost it all and more which is fantastic – thanks to poling and hooping and a clean eating approach. i love my new body. It is so strong and sexy but I really want to get rid of the cellulite on my thighs. I have heard of non surgical treatments such as hypoxi but was wondering if anyone has had any success with this or anything else. I dont mind spending the money if it works but I hate wasting my money and time. As most members are from other countries, I was interested to hear if you guys know of anything that works that I may not be aware of. I would love to perform my dances with more confidence by summer (in Australia)… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I am not a professional about this matters but me and some girls were discussing this with our pole instructor and she said that cellulite is basicly just some loose type of fat(not sure what it is called) and the best way to get rid of it os to burn it off with excersize, like running, jogging, using jump ropes etc.

This totally makes sense I think and I also have noticed that my cellulite has reduced a lot after I started excercising https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I’m sorry to say you can’t get rid of it–BELIEVE me I’ve tried. You can reduce the appearance of it, but that’s it. There’s a treatment that REALLY reduces it (I can’t remember the name, brain froze) for $150 US a pop and you need at least 15 treatments https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Plus maintenance AFTER that! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Notice the phrase "reduces"! Yep. That’s it.
You have a hot, sexy bod! One that produced a human being!!! Revel in that!!! I know, I know, we all want smooth, fabulous Barbie limbs, but that’s life.
Here’s a ray of sunshine–upside-down holds smooth the cellulite away!!! I have tons of the stuff, but photos of me in inverts show NO SIGN OF IT!!! Hee, hee!!!
I’ve posted this elsewhere (I think) but let me share this moment of clarity on the subject of cellulite. My husband and I were watching an "adult" film together one night and I noticed that the female lead (who is one of the highest-paid and most beautiful in the industry) had some on her butt and upper thighs. I was like "OH MY GOD! She’s got cellulite!" My husband looked at me, puzzled. "What’s that?" he asked. I briefly debated not telling him, but courageously forged ahead and pointed out the dimpled flesh for him to contemplate. "See?" I said, triumphantly, " She’s got it. The same stuff I’ve got!" He looked even more puzzled. "So?" quoth he, in utter bafflement. Then I got it. Shapely, naked female ass and thighs are hot. Period. With or without cellulite. Pause, reflect and inwardly digest this fact. Then rejoice!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

    Hey
I body brush my legs and thighs every day as it improves the blood circulation and moves the lymphphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes but you always have to brush up! (im a beauty therapist but i dont know that much about the ins and out of cellulite lol) Vigerous brushing like massage also increases body temperature and i think this also helps the chances of reduceing the apperance of cellulite when combineing with anti cellulite creams but poleophile is right you cant get rid completly. Apprantly though eating grapefruit is quite good for reduing cellulite. Hope this helps?
    xx

Callanetics! its an old exercise video that is seriously a miracle worker on cellulite. It is terribly boring but if you stick with it you will be amazed at how smooth your thighs, hips and butt get. along with a ton of other wonderful changes in your body.

thanks everyone for your great tips. Yes… I will take all of your advice on board. Confidence in yourself is definetely the key! I’m intereseted in the callanetics and I will try harder at running but it is not my favourite thing to do. I do enjoy the body brushing though! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Cannot resist posting a lengthy response to this topic so, please, bear with me.

I have cellulite; lots of it on my butt and thighs. It seems as though I got it the day I turned thirteen because that’s the first picture where I ever noticed it. I’ve always had a rather lean figure but cannot seem to get rid of my cellulite no matter what I do. When I was a teen I became anorexic as a result of my frustration w/ my body-image and I became dangerously underweight. Guess what? I STILL had cellulite.

Cellulite does not occur because you are fat (although excess flab does increase the appearance of it), it happens because it is genetic. You may never notice it’s even there until something hormonal (such as pregnancy or puberty) triggers an increase in the surfacing of it. Basically, if you have cellulite you’ve always had it and you always will…but that doesn’t mean you have to look like you do!

Since I’ve started poling I have noticed a dramatic reduction in the appearance of my spongy dimples. My skin is firmer and my muscles seem to be surfacing with just a little uneven layer of flesh between them. Prior to poling, I was on the South Beach Diet which helped to keep any excess weight off but I didn’t exercise. The combination of pole-dancing w/ my diet has done miracles for the reduction of my cellulite, more than anything else I’ve ever tried in the past. I swear by it, but I know that it may just work for me and not necessarily everyone.

I will say that I was never very active in my life, much less had an exercise routine, until now. I was always in it for the quick fix and I can confirm THAT STUFF DOES NOT WORK. It kinda sucks that I’ve turned into the type of person who would say this corny old line, but:

The key to living with cellulite is having confidence, eating well, and exercising regularly.

I’ve avoided doing just that until the past year and I really wish that I hadn’t because I could of had my body looking this good a decade ago. It’s not perfect, I still have cellulite, but I know I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been and I am feeling FOXY!

To all the ladies out there who have struggled with their body-image too, lemme’ tell ya, you are beautiful and all your need to do now is own it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I just wanted to add: 80-90% of women have cellulite. When surveying men on the topic, about 85% didn’t notice it at all, and about 95% didn’t care if it was there.

What I’m trying to say is, don’t be too hard on yourself!!!

Someone should make cellulite "fashinable" so most of women would be happy and to bad for the 10% left https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I got some too even when i was really skinny but that’s a fact that man barely notice it even when you show them. So we all should learn to be happy with our body. And then learn how to use photoshop for our picture on the beach https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

The big reason we all have so much trouble accepting our bodies the way they are is you turn on the TV and you are hearing left and right about what is wrong with your body and creams, pills etc that will "fix" it. It is hard to be self accepting with stuff like that everywhere you look. well gee they sure know how to make a person aware of their flaws and instead of saying "hey its okay lots of people have flaws" its do this and that to fix yourselves. End of Rant https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Gotta be fair, though. Those male-enhancement commercials have gotta be a huge drain on the ego for men. I know that my boobs could always be bigger, but I’ve never been made to feel that they are not pleasurable as is. lol

OMG yes!!! i wish someone would! lol!

anyone who is feeling bad about something on their bodies needs to google "celebrity before and after photoshop" && you will totally feel way better about any little flaws you may have https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif since most of us look at celebrities as having perfect bodies & skin seeing them before PS is a life changing thing:cheers:
