Does anyone know how to do this? I'm a newbie and would like to order an x pole, but I live in a mobile home right now… I know I will have to get the permanent mount for valuted ceilings, but are the ceiling joists sturdy enough? And what sort of damage does the permanent mount do to the ceiling? We might sell it in the next year and I reallllllly don't want to do major repair work…

well i hav a lil mynx in my mobile home and its been fine for abt 4 months, it is screwed in at the top. but just recently ive heard the ceiling crackling. we did screw it into the stud but im thinking now we didnt hit the center of the stud either that or mobile home studs r smaller and not as sturdy. my husband will def hav to reconstruct and reinforce that spot soon for my pole! another lady on here had the same thing happen in her mobile home, the screw ate thru the stud, hers was also fixed and super sturdy now she says! good luck!!

I have had both a little Mynx and an Xpole in my mobile (double wide) house. I have had no problems with the xpole even though really the vaulted ceiling adapter only a few screws go into the stud (I'm told that is pretty normal even in a regular house) my mynx when we first installed it we had trouble with it tearing up the ceiling around the screw which made it eventually come down. We put it back up with a nice block of hard wood between the ceiling and mount and that solved that. Had it up for quite a while that way, but then I got my xpole and fell in love with it so now even though the mount is still in the ceiling the mynx is down, gives me more room to pratice burlesque routines.

Facebook pics of my dance area.

I think you can see in the third picture the block of wood at the top of the mynx.

your link isn't working for me… it says your pictures are unavailable… Is the link from the URL bar or the one at the bottom of your album? I think I understand what you're saying, but wouldn't the screws from the vaulted mount mess up the ceiling around the screw as well?
