I love this thread! It's so wonderful to see such a wide-range of intelligent, professional, artistic, and diverse women out there! Wow 🙂  I am a full-time obstetric Registered Nurse with a Master's Degree in Nursing.  I also perform fire arts (i.e. fire fans, fire fingers), model occasionally, and am training in aerial silks and pursuing shamanic studies.  Yeah, I'm really busy, haha 🙂

Awesome, thanks for the videos and responses 🙂  Love that IPC Anna Serivoka video and emotioncatcher's.  Going to post my attempts at this one.  Doesn't seem too difficult.

There is a typo in my first post that I don't know how to delete/edit, so I just reposted this again! So please read my second post.  Thanks 🙂

    Hello Fellow Poling Peeps~

I am entering a little contest in which I have only 30 seconds to be creative and original.  My friend is helping me make this video and recorded me, but he does not know the world of poling and is seeing my videos from a cinematography/guy’s perspective.  But I would like the opinion of seasoned performers and fellow polers.

During my filming session I did jade splits drop, superman, and Gemini (some intermediate to advanced tricks), but he did not choose to pick any of those tricks to include in the video because he liked my style and smile while doing very simple things like climbing the pole and my pirouettes, which he felt was more my technique.  I guess I must have been looking tired or something when I was doing those tricks.

What do you think?? Is style, smile, and composition more important??? Or should I add tricks and more technique to my video submission???

    Thanks so much <3

I have an x-stage because I have vaulted ceilings and really no other options.  I like it, but I hope I have real ceilings in my next home because I really do want a regular floor-to-ceiling pole so I can incorporate more floorwork into my poling.  It's great if you have ceiling issues like me or if you want to use it for travel, since it comes apart and can be assembled pretty quick.  I have had mine for about a year with no issues.  However, there is some bend to it when you are high up on the pole, so don't freak out when that starts to happen, lol..

What's that move called that they both do at the same time at 0:37 seconds? I want to learn that!
