Hi dmorningstar, sorry to hear you’ve been dizzy… I was dizzy for a long time but that’s because I had a chronic condition that caused vertigo. It hasn’t been back for months now though because I’ve been managing my stress levels and hopefully it’ll never come back as long as I’m relaxed and happy in life- so phew! A stressful incident in my life is what set it off- and I wonder if it’s the same with you regarding the stress? If you’re only feeling dizzy from the pole and not in general, then it would be a matter of building up to it slowly. The ‘How to use spinning pole’ video by Veena looks awesome, I’m going to check it out myself! Remember to be kind to yourself and take baby steps. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I’ve added a picture of me now (and some pics of me doing aerial hoop and pole), just so you know I’m not scammy and I don’t bite. I do have my own website, but how can I serve the pole community best if I don’t know exactly what their challenges are? This is a genuine attempt at finding out how I can help, rather than any kind of self-promotion (I haven’t even included my website or details here to promote anything).
You’re right about lack of participation in the forum though, that’s my mistake- I hadn’t participated in the forums so far because I wasn’t sure I could contribute anything, as I haven’t been doing pole or aerial hoop for a year and a half now (due to the vestibular neuronitis I mentioned earlier). But now that I’ve gotten more experience with helping people with EFT, I can contribute. I’ll post some videos, and I’ll see if I can post any videos to help people on the forums, if it’s a mindset related (or emotional) issue that they’re struggling with.

MemberOctober 21, 2014 at 8:34 am in reply to: How may I help you? (Would love your advice!)Hi Phoenix, I totally understand. I used to pole dance, do aerial hoop, and circus acrobalance until I got an illness which made me very dizzy (vestibular neuronitis), and it’s taken me a while to recover from that. I’ll be getting back into pole soon. I had planned to post some videos to help people here (to help with the mindset of pole), I’m just preparing the content for them, such as an EFT video to help get over ‘I can’t achieve this pole trick and I’m frustrated because of it’. I’m not sure what other video I could make that would help people on here and they’d find most useful, hence why I asked what their challenges were.
And lastly, I’m not selling anything- I’m offering my services for free, no obligation. I don’t even have anything to sell yet. And yes, there is still something in it for me, which is that I get to understand what the pole and aerial community want the most and then help them with those problems. But that is to eventually help YOU guys.
I’ve been trying to decide for a year now what my niche would be, because I could literally specialise in anything- I tried a few different niches and didn’t feel much passion for any of them- but the time I did pole dance and aerial hoop as well as acrobalance at the circus, have been some of the most precious in my life (mainly because I was so scared and never felt good enough or strong enough or athletic enough but ended up getting over a lot of that in the end- with the help of EFT).
And so I decided to specialise in EFT for pole and acrobatics. Both times I posted here, I have been misunderstood, when I really wanted to do was help. If you have any further questions, I’d be happy to answer them.

Thanks for your encouragement about the technique, I am indeed passionate about it! Infact, I got so carried away that it sounded like selling. My deepest apologies, it won't happen again.
Helping people is my ultimate goal, so, if anyone who's reading this feels called to, please do get in touch.Much gratitude and appreciation,

MemberOctober 19, 2013 at 4:15 pm in reply to: Technique to get better at Pole! Would you be interested?Have emailed Veena, now just waiting for a reply. But yeah, I am not making any money from this, I am giving away my time for free- and I don't mind, because it's my personal mission for women to be more confident and fearless in themselves. Only because I used to be crippled by fear, and now I'm not, after I discovered this method.
I realise it's my fault for writing it like an infomercial… I've been doing a marketing course recently and this is how they taught us to write stuff! I should have known it was going to sound icky, and just used normal language. So sorry about that. I don't want it to muddy my intention though- my intent is truly to help.

I do apologise if it sounds like an infomercial… it truly isn't. I am not even charging for these sessions, so I'm not doing it for the money. I genuinely want to help people. I can check with Veena if she's ok with it though. -

MemberOctober 18, 2013 at 1:31 pm in reply to: Technique to get better at Pole! Would you be interested?Hi Ladies!
Would you like to know how to get into that **OMFG I'm f–ing SCARED** pose on the pole and feel calm, cool, and collected instead of panicked and sweaty-palmed?
Yes? 🙂 Then Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is for you!
EFT is a technique that helps you release tension, anxiety and fear.
Like: fear of heights. Fear of falling. Fear of injuring yourself. Even the fear of an audience laughing at you — not in a good way. 😉
Like massage and acupressure, it works by applying pressure to certain points along your body.
It looks a little strange, but it feels incredibly relaxing — and the results are unbelievable.
Here's how it works:
Harvard Medical School conducted a study that shows that stimulating selected acupuncture points (like we do in EFT) decreases the 'fight or flight' activity of the brain.
This means that your brain starts associating that thing that scares you, with calmness now- instead of fear.
Which means, that thing you used to be scared of? It doesn't bother you anymore.
Here's the link to the study:
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/hbm.20583/abstract
And here's what a few of my EFT clients have said about it:
'Woah. I used to think EFT was a little silly, and now I'm a believer.'
'Since our session, I feel a lot more at peace with this issue and have found a new surge of motivation and confidence that has been lacking in the past.'
'It makes me feel good inside to know that you are the real deal, and that you're sincere about helping me heal with EFT!'
‘All RIGHT!! I officially believe in EFT now thanks to your great work and helpful reframing of something I thought I just couldn't let go of. I feel lighter, happier, and I'm pumped to take on the world! Thanks so much, girl!'
So, ready to give it a try?
You've got nothing to lose — except a whole bunch of nasty, unhelpful fears! 😉
So come get your FREE 1 hour EFT session now… email me at: roshini_dominic@hotmail.com
(My website is under construction and will be up soon, too… watch this space!)Honestly, nothing makes me happier in my heart than a pole dancer going from fearful to confident and raring to go, ready to tackle the thing that scared her, and much quicker than she ever thought possible.
Being a pole dancer myself, EFT is the best method I have found for this. It has helped me so much, that I've qualified as an EFT practitioner in order to help other polers.
My mission is to help as many people, as possible. It would be my absolute honour and privilege to help the pole dancers at StudioVeena! So please drop me a line at roshini_dominic@hotmail.com to schedule your free EFT session, or even if you just want to ask about whether I can help you with your particular pole challenge.
Looking forward to hearing from you, and serving you!

Hey AriFerrari,
I so relate because I used to be like that too! Recovering people-pleaser here 🙂 Here's an analogy I read about somewhere… think of yourself as a chicken and your productivity as an egg… if the chicken tires out, it won't be able to produce eggs of great quality, or any eggs at all! So if you're spread too thin, you won't be able to help out people as much as if you took care of yourself and said 'no' when you had too much on your plate.
Also useful is the airplane analogy… In an airplane emergency, when the oxygen masks come down, the thing the crew advise you to do first is to put the oxygen mask on yourself… and then help the child next to you. If you try to help others first, you might pass out and end up being of help to no-one, thereby endangering everyone else as well. This analogy translates to real life too… if we don't take care of ourselves first and set some boundaries, then we won't be able to be as loving, caring and attentive as we could be to others.
Hope that helps, and congratulations on taking the steps to saying 'no'! We are here to support you.

Azblanco, what you said reminded me of a fear I used to have… I was so scared to stand on someone's shoulders (without holding onto anything) during an Acrobalance class at the Circus, because I was scared I'd be too unstable and fall face first to the floor… EFT helped me get past that fear and I finally stood on a guy's shoulders! That was a good moment 🙂

Lyme Lyte, glad that it has helped you… I used it to deal with abuse in my childhood too, and it helped a lot. My world-view has changed a lot as a result, and thank heavens.
Sessions will be an hour each and over Skype or phone. Haven't decided the prices yet, but I was thinking £70 per session, that's equivalent to $100.
Azblanco, sorry to hear about your injury… I do think EFT could help you with that. You might find the following link interesting. It's from the website of Stacey Vornbrock, who uses EFT for sports:
http://www.breakthroughperformance.net/athlete-injuries-rom/Krissykiki, indeed! It's going to be a wild ride trying to market something most people have never heard of… but I hear EFT is going to be shown on Dr Oz next month or so, and that might educate more people about the benefits. What I will most likely do is start out offering free sessions in return for testimonials and feedback.
