Yea,  ive had mine slip all the way to the floor as well lol and yes it does scare the crap outta you!!! I fell and i knew i was okay but I was just worried about it hitting something important but everything was alright, turns out it wasn't completely straight it was a little crooked when i set it up so when I did an attitude spin I guess my weight pulled it even more outta place. Needless to say I now check the pole constantly!

Hey guys this is really awesome advice! ive been trying the wrist sit for so long and my problem isnt so much the flailing but the fact that i cant get my hand to grab the pole under me, no matter what side i lean to, no matter how far back i lean the closest i can get is for my finger tips to kinda clutch the pole but i have to twist almost all the way around and lean so far back im almost laying flat backed… im thinking maybe my arms are too short ( my yoga teacher said they were lol) im only 5 ft and im pretty thick so im thinking maybe my butt is too big and my arms are too little? Has anyone encountered this problem? any advice? I'm going to try posting a video so you guys can see…

I love tattoos as well, i have 3, one by the bridge of my left thumb, one one my inner right wrist and one on my right shoulder. My shoulder one is almost always hidden except in the summer but my wrist and thumb ones are clearly visible, my last job said no visible tattoos, but they still hired me. I have a training for a new job today and im hoping they don't have a problem with my tats, they arent anything bad one is a matching tat with my mom that sez love and has like sparkles and a heart and the other is a cherry blossom flower that 90% of people that comment on it usually love it and think its really cute. As for you, I don't think as a therapist or psychologist someone can tell you that tattoos arent allowed, so i would probably cover them up for the initial interview then after you get the job and youre boss or whomever gets to know you better then you can shed the cardis and long sleeve shirts. Thats what my mother did and she works in a corporate setting. If my mom were to go in for an interview now theyd probably judge her by her tats but since she's been there so long and everyone already knows her no one even cares about them she still got her promotion not because of what she looked or dresses like but because of her work ethic and productivity. oh and in my opinion i agree with Lola, once i had to see this therapist as a teenager  but she was this old conservative jewish lady, im talking easy 70's 80's like retirement status old! and she thought i was insane because i got my tongue pierced ! It was the worst therapist ever she couldnt relate anything to me except tell me i had psychological issues because i randomly got a tongue piercing! smh I think if wouldve had a more young open minded therapist that shared the same interest in tattoos and piercings like i do iwouldve felt 1000x's better going. so u never know those tat might actually come in  handy with yur clients especially making them feel more open to talk to you =)

yea it sucks that the media always edites out so much, i wouldve loved to see what other footage hey had, they literally shoved in the pole dancing at the last 15 minutes ….  however i don't think it was too bad…. i think they were able to show the different facets of pole dancing, a big thing with pole dancing is the stigma that ple dancing = stripping/ vulgarity, i liked that anna and wendy were able to clear up that it's not the same thing everyones clothes stays one and its not all about the strutting and shaking around the pole but rather the strength and technique it takes to actully perform on the pole ….I dont mind what they did show but wished they wouldve showed more and made the segment at least 30 minutes…

Awww I just saw it today!!! I’m sooo happy cuz I was tryna convince my mom that pole dancing or pole fitness is becoming pretty popular and its not as vulgar as ppl tend to think, and her response was “well if its becoming so mainstream why don’t I see anything about it or the competitions in the news?” Hehehe this’ll show her lol nd whoop whoop big up to nypd!!! I was like omg ii know this place!!! Hahaha

yea its weird usually i have really dry rough "man hands" lol but just today they were sweating so much and i kept slipping -_- so i started using itac2 level 2 and it was kind of okay but idk what was going on i just kept slipping off i even had to clean my pole a million times! okay not a million but almost in between every two or three spins….i was thinking bout getting the gloves but am not sure yet, does anybody know if the gloves prevents blisters? cuz also im now getting blisters on that meaty part right under my thumb nd it sucks…oh and p.s celedabcn i noticed your from barcelona, i just visited barcelona in january omg its the most beautiful place ive ever been to nd trust me i travel we even went to rome and the whole time i kept bragging how much better barcelona was! lol me and my boyfriend decided when we retire we're gunna move there lol

hey i decided tonight im gunna put up some vids of me practicing (trust me it'll make you feel so much better when you see me struggling lol ) it's really embarrassing but I decided why not we're all here to support each other so maybe I'll even get some good pointers from some of the more experienced polers 🙂 and also so that any other beginners who think they are "alone" in this beginners struggle lol you can see you are definately not!!!!

lol i've noticed that too ! Im like oh hey lets see some beginner vids for some inspiration and these girls are like oh my first climb & spin  good luck! and they begin doing inverts hahaha but I think also a lot of girls that get into pole are already dancers or athletic in some sort of way so they kind of have that head start but don't let it discourage you everyone has to start somewhere and not everyone starts that way! Just keep practicing !
