Thanks Veena. I’m ok, I think Its definitely going to leave a mark but its not so bad.
I’m fine… But I’m kind of in an overwhelmed funk. Too many things to do and fix (expensive things too) around the house, so I just don’t have the time or money to really revamp my pole room right now. I need to handle my jungle of a yard, paint my house and fence, fix some stuff in the basement, get some electrical work done, and take down a dying tree, and more before I can get to it.
Wahhhhh. Usually pole makes me forget the stress and just relax, but not when you just want more spacceeeeee 😛
OK, done whining.

Day 30. Here is the most hilarious attempt at my extended butterfly trying to control it down through iron x. Watch it with the sound on to hear the big crash as my foot slams into the dresser and my jewelry box goes flying. I’m going to be black and blue!

So far I can only make the longer version not super painful. I’m not sure if this is going to give me issues down the road, and if I should suck it up and try to master the shorter version now. Or just fully commit to the long version 🙂

Day 29. These were seriously ab-tastic… Though I feel weird about it after seeing everyone call this move the “vagina monster” haha.

If there is some deal with private lessons I would make sure you get that in writing! I’m not saying anyone is trying to screw you over, but sooooo many times you think you and someone else are on the same page and because its not in writing you end up remembering the conversation. It might come off like “as many lessons as you need to make sure you’re prepared” and that may end up being as many lessons as THEY think you need, not what YOU think you need to feel comfortable and confident. And if you’re like me, you have a hard time saying “No, I need more, this is not what I paid for” 🙂
Anyway, I’d really try and get a better sense of what this showcase will include before agreeing to pay anything!
Let us know what you end up deciding!

Day 28. The 1st clip is an attempt at what we were supposed to do…(hard!) and the second clip (also hard!) is not what the challenge was, but I got a lot closer so I wanted to include it. 😂 https://instagram.com/p/2Ch3AXDLBR/

Ahh, ok. I feel like my upper body is doing the same thing… Or at least trying to. Haha. I’ll give it another go tonight and see what happens!

I knew you were going to do it Tropical! I didn’t believe you for a minute when you said you weren’t going to! 😆You are so determined. Go youuuu!! 💕💕

Ahhh. So I’m going to give it another try tonight… however my attempts were… Interesting?!?! My best attempt was from the floor. Not quite kicking up, but sweeping the leg, almost like a cartwheel mount… That’s how we’ve practiced in class. But I really need to work on bringing both legs forward like in your tutorial! I’ll give it another try tonight if I can or just post what I did yesterday :/ we’ll see.

Everytime I have shoulder mount issues I find that it’s a grip issue. I know I have the strength… But something in my brain stops me from committing to it. Usually if I grip up or warm up I get that extra leverage and things improve greatly. I find the mighty grip gloves awesome for shoulder mounts 🙂

I like posting here too… and since I bet this one will be mostly pics not videos it’ll be really easy to make a thread here… or if you do a video on insta, maybe a screenshot in the thread?
Anyway I do like doing it here too because usually it just feels a bit more personal 🙂

To some degree I do notice how I look in videos… but WAY less than I used to. Now I just look at what I can do and how strong I’ve gotten. But yes, some cameras and lighting are down right unflattering. Thankfully the pole community here is so supportive that I post videos and pictures that I wouldn’t show my best friends because my stomach looks a certain way. When it comes to pole a lot of that melts away.
That being said, I did have a good look at myself today and said… bikini diet starts NOW.
It’s not easy to not be critical of yourself, but I hope you don’t let it overshadow the accomplishments on that film and I hope it does not deter you from sharing. 🙂
