Oh I need to read all this more thoroughly… But if anyone is looking for a recovery drink I love Accelerade. It contains the right ratio of carbs to protein to replenish you muscles. I love it. It’s basically the same (another company) as Beach Body’s recovery drink they recommend for P90X. Some people may be put off by the sugar… And it’s not like I drink it everyday, only if I’m doing one of those 3 hour sweaty pole sessions. Ill even drink it during those sessions.
Also Orange is the best.I also want to recommend bodybuilding.com for recommendations and reviews of every shake or drink. They even have taste ratings. It’s very helpful.

I have balms and creams but I never use them. Too much work and I always forget. I got traumheel (my fav) and tiger balm (ok, but it’s scented and also stains) I think anything with arnica is good.
I find a good tan helps. Pale legs show so much more!!!
Though I can’t wear short sleeves or shorts/skirts to work so I’m ok at work. I agree that they don’t look that professional depending on what your job is.

I’m also supppperrrr sensitive to sweeteners. I tried a bunch of samples from whole foods including the Vega ones but I just can’t stomach stevia. I realize it’s natural but I’d rather have sugar or agave…. Or no sweeteners at all, and I’d add my own.

Lulu, I was struggling with the same thing a while ago in terms of what the extended butterfly should look like. It’s in the comments of a hoot and video I posted so it may be hard to follow. I also had the same discussion with my instructor. I’m attaching 3 pics.
The pic from Veena’s gallery has the hips very open. The black and white one is very squared and the one with the pink waistband is sort if I the middle.
I think all are acceptable. And each are easier from different positions. The open hips one is probably from split grip invert. I don’t think Veena’s opens her hips that much in her lesson from butterfly. I can’t remember.
I’m not saying there is a right or wrong way. Just different ways. I kind of have to wrap my head around it too…

Yeah, well. She is actually family. I don’t know why I didn’t include that. I guess it felt too much like airing dirty laundry…
I’ve seen him say things to her that I thought were extremely rude and I’ve seen him yell at waitress. I don’t think he really respects women. I try and stay out of it, because I have said things once or twice when they were dating and either she gets defensive or thinks I’m jealous. Then I become the enemy.
So I just usually tolerate him. I don’t seem the that often and its better to keep the peace. If she isn’t bothered by him, then good for her, she doesn’t seem troubled by his comments and she seems genuinely happy. I do mean that. I would be offended if he said certain things to me, but she brushes them off and giggles. Maybe I’m more sensitive.
If I ever really thought there was emotional or physical harm coming to her I wouldn’t bite my tongue.. but I think he is just rude and sexist, which isn’t a crime, its a character flaw. I’m sure not everyone would like my husband. It happens. Maybe someone would look at our relationship and not agree with everything we say to each other (I’m a loud Jersey girl, so I yell!)
Anyway. I was honestly curious if wiping down the poles was a reference I missed. It sounds vaguely sexual, but I don’t think he’d dream of saying something like that to me. I have to assume it was a strip club thing.
Or maybe it was nothing. But I just wanted to see. Maybe I should look in the urban dictionary!
I just feel really dumb when I don’t get the joke.

Thanks guys. I really really don’t get his sense of humor at all… or whatever you want to call it.
I remember us driving to restaurant and talking about food, then I said something about having vegetarian options and he said “I didn’t know you don’t eat meat?!” and I was like “Really? Yeah I don’t eat most meat. I eat fish though sometimes… Blah Blah Blah” Explaining myself.
And then later someone filled me in that he was making fun of me, I guess I mention it too much 🙁
Anyway. I felt really stupid. That kind of how I felt after I explained about the alcohol and cleaning the poles.. then realized, I think he is making fun of me.. and I think it was reenforced when he said the things about throwing dollars.
Anyway I try to just brush it off. I don’t REALLY care… I think I was also kind of curious if he was making fun of me in that instance or not. I realized I don’t know very much about strip clubs.

Yeah, it was only $20, and its a good band, so I hung onto it a few days to see if I’d use it for anything else… Nope haven’t touched it. Think I’ll send it back.

The thing I like about the Mean Girls one is like this super cool and very thick neoprene stretchy stuff.
How is the xpole one Tacha? Is it soft or plasticy? The xpole one to me looks like the material they make soft coolers and lunch boxes out of, which is cool but tend to crack in my experience (usually that’s an esthetic concern though). Do you guys know what I’m talking about or am I the only one whose thrown like a half dozen of my sons lunch boxes away after they get too cracked?!
Im sure xpole tested it a lot though. And they do stand behind the products. I can’t wait until they are available here. Hope the price is low!!
