I also have the ankles. They aren’t as anti stick as the gloves (those are like glue) but I really wanted them for protection as my feet were getting so beat up and bruised.

Thanks Cazz.
I wonder if I can avoid kicking.. well, everything… tomorrow. I think my guest bed should be a murphy bed :)))

I’m so happy you girls were wondering the same thing as me! I was thinking maybe I was alone in experiencing a lack of change in my cold flexibility and maybe I was alone (and superficial) in wanting to bust out splits in fun places. 😛
I’ll continue to work on my warm stretching and maybe one dayyyy….. 🙂

Haha, I didn’t have my sound on… but it looks like the music was dubbed in afterward, so who knows what she was listening to at the time.
But I agree.. not the most kid friendly song!
Cute video though Veena, I hadn’t seen that one.

I think she is a lovely dancer.. and I don’t have a problem with this at all.
My husband always tells me I’m a bit desensitized to pole dancing. When I show him videos or pics sometimes he blushes at things… he is a better judge of whats appropriate to post on my non-pole instagram. Apparently things don’t phase me.
Anyway, I think it’s fine, and looks kind of fun. I’m wondering if I’d feel differently if the child was male?! I don’t know. Probably not. But to be honest I walk around the house in my underwear sometimes (when its not FREEZING), and don’t really think about it. But I don’t do anything “sexy” around my son.

You’d need to remove a celing tile and see what’s underneath. Chances are it’s a drop ceiling and you can just remove one tile and install it on a beam… I’ve seen a pic of that somewhere but I can’t find it. But I guess the first step is seeing what is behind the drop ceiling.

I feel like I’ve heard the same thing as Joel. I’m not sure the truth behind it but it makes sense to me.
The way I think of it (correct me if I’m wrong, this is by no means my expertise) is that lifting builds tight strong compact muscles, while flexibility is about long lean elastic muscle. The two aren’t mutually exclusive but it’s harder to have both. You may need to put in more work to stay flexible then someone who does not lift.

Well signing up here (even just the free membership) is the best idea… then she can see this thread and click the links to view them demos on instagram… or just give her this link: instagram.com/studioveena
There is also the free 3 day trial for SV so she can check out some lessons!
I think this challenge has been great for me utilizing my subscription. I never really watched a lot of the beginner lessons… and I watched lessons a lot as I was trying to get new moves… but lately I’m working on things I need to improve on… So this has me looking back at lesson I wouldn’t have viewed otherwise.

Lyme, the related lessons Veena links to are only for the paid members however anyone can watch the demo videos on instagram 🙂

I did like that the sport was super solid though and you don’t have to worry so much about the over tightening thing.
