I’ve never heard of copper! Interesting. What brand is it?

Are you sure it’s not brass? I hear brass smells like pennies (copper) 🙂

Hoping to keep with the matching emojis. 🙂

I recorded this a day or two ago because I’m going skiing this weekend at my parents ski house (same goes for tomorrow). Hopefully I’ll get back in time to do Sunday’s challenge… I didn’t record it because I wasn’t 100% sure what a squat was. Didn’t know if that was facing towards or away from pole. 🙂

I know someone who had one in her basement and she said it was very slippery… combined with cold basement… it wasn’t great, but it was useable. So think about where you are going to use it and how warm you can keep the pole. The only SS I’ve been on was Platinum Stages, and I liked it a lot, but they have a reputation for having a grippy SS.

Also… how good of a deal is it?

For me my 1st pole was a 45mm Chrome Xpole sport (static only) that I got used for a very good deal. I used it until I outgrew it and then I sold it for the exact price I got it for. So it served its purpose. If I felt like I was going to loose money on it I would have just got my dream pole to start. I was just nervous spending that kind of money on it when I first started and having it go the way my treadmill did 😛

    Hello,

Are you sure your body and pole are warm enough? I posted something similar when I first started last year. Turns out in class we were just spending more time warming up, and many of those warm ups also warmed the pole…. but when I was at home I was trying to do things cold, and that just doesn’t work.

I do have drier hands I think… But the lotion isn’t really treating my dry skin, it like leaves a weird sticky film that’s grippy. My classmate also goes in and takes classes at B&P in the city and a bunch of people started using it there so she brought some to class and I ended up liking it and getting my own.

But again, it’s so different for everyone. But a small bottle was like 3$.

Yes, the gloves stick like glue. Thats why I don’t use them too much. But for things like shoulder mounts and dismounts it allows me to focus on my core and less on the fear of slipping. Once muscle memory takes over they aren’t needed anymore. Thankfully.

That is strange about the grip aid.

Have you looked into the peppermint sloughing lotion? I really like it.

Also the mighty grip gloves are good. I got them because I was pretty fearful of cup grip. Using then helped me get over that fear. One or two times and I havent really used them much since then. Oh actually I put them on for some iguana practice the other day.

Maybe if you use them to fight through the next month or so it will be better?

Also I do feel like a broken in pole does feel grippier. I can’t say why, and maybe it doesn’t make sense, but I do feel like in general my pole is less slippery then when I got it.

Its so strange. I’ve never had a real issue with my TG here in the north east. That room gets very cold, so I do use a space heater before I pole (or its too cold to wear shorts!)… But once the pole is warm it’s great.

I’ve had slippery days, but I think those are unavoidable regardless of finish. Today in pole class there were 3 of us crowded around the one TG because the chrome was so slick.

I guess there is no perfect finish for everyone…

I really like the peppermint sloughing lotion for grip… But I’ll use dry hands too it just leaves me feeling chalky dry and gross.

I don’t know if she will be taking orders for a while, since I think she just submitted the order. If there is any way she can add to the order I’d be happy to send some your way. She just charges the Bad Kitty price.

Maybe if you call bad kitty you can submit your own order? There may be a minimum for a custom order but I dont know. I think if youre going to order like 4 pairs of shorts they should make it happen!

Oh my goodness…. I tried to record a day or two today since I’ll be skiing this weekend…

My thoughts after an hour of firemans, walking and body waves:

I forgot how hard body waves are. My fireman is ok. I mean it looks like a fireman, outside of hair whips Im not sure what else to do. Hahah. And the walk, well, I tried a few things… in heels. Hopefully there is a 15 sec clip without bloopers ::P

I think I need to try again tomorrow!

Ok so I know the bad kitty site has like nothing in stock …. Butmy pole teacher asks what we want from bad kitty and we pick our size and color and she puts in an order. They make it and ship it. Maybe you you do that. I think the disadvantage of placing a custom order is it takes like a month to get… But you get exactly what you want. I’m not sure if there is a dollar amount you need to spend, but I just put in my order like a week ago or I’d have ordered yours for you. 🙁

I don’t know if that was clear. Click on the button that says comment. Next to the like button. Then the comments should be clickable.

You need to click on comment yourself… Like you are going to write a comment yourself. Then the comments become clickable.

    If that makes sense
