There was a YouTube video of Karol poling in jeans with butterfly balm… I think this is it.

Super grippy! If you search on SV for butterfly balm I think it was Chem who said its Cramers paste. 🙂

I remember there being a thread about butterfly balm (which is reportedly cramers firm grip… It comes in spray or paste) and that stuff seemed like superglue

I’m not sure there is too much, I think the X-joints are slightly different…

But if you were deciding on buying a 2013 or 2014 I don’t think is a huge difference. I could be wrong though.

I go to the pole studio 1x per week and have Veenas lessons. Best of both worlds.

Veenas lessons are so well organized and so helpful. I love having them at home…
But I also love my studio instructor. And feel like I need her to keep me motivated. If I done have that hour a week I could easily see me just shutting the door to the pole room and all my progress just slipping away. That hour ever week keeps me motivated and energized to pole throughout the week. She also challenges me more that I would challenge myself.. And I need that.

I so need Veenas lessons because I feel like I need those tips and tricks at home when I practice. Sometimes I’ll just watch a lesson or two when I’m not even poling and just try and absorb it. That can also help if my motivation is low.

And then sometimes TG means Twisted Grip… To bad it wasn’t called gold titanium. That would be easier. Hehe.

I felt like that at first when I used TG… But I got used to it, I don’t apply the same pressure or something… I’m not sure. I have a chrome but after playing more with the TG at the studio it’s next on my “to buy” list.

🙁 ugh. I had self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis a few years back… It hurts!!! You want to be careful about over stretching to let the fascia heal. I found rolling it out on a tennis ball to really help.

Also maybe seeing a podiatrist? I know you’re seeking medical care, but as someone who specializes in teeth/oral cavity… I know how impossible it is to know everything about everything. But it’s not just about knowing things, sometimes it’s about seeing things…

When someone is seeing feet all day it’s much more likely they will have come across someone with your particular pain and what helped them… Rather than someone who is seeing arms and backs and knees. Ya know?

Ok, it’s been getting to the point where I’m going backwards! It’s hard for me to even hold my original 51 seconds. I think my core is tired. My inverts are sucking. I need more rest/recovery. I’m going to keep going for another day or so and see how it pans out. But I might need to pull out. I’m definitely liking planking though and will try and incorporate it more in my exercising regardless.

    How is everyone else doing?

Kind of piggy backing on what Lucca said… It can be discouraging to see someone progress faster than you. It takes a lot to sometimes to not beat yourself up over it.

I pole 2x a week usually. Maybe a hour each time. Obviously there will be people passing me… But sometimes when I count, and I’m like “crap, I’ve been doing this for 7 months” I feel like I should be way ahead of where I am now, especially based on what I see.

I just remind myself how demanding my career is, and I have a son and husband and new puppy… All wonderful things, and pole has to share my time with those things. (Surprisingly I’m on SV a lot for someone with no time, I know… But usually I’m in the car with my husband driving to little league or something like that)

I can also get overwhelmed with what I see. Like I want to work on certain things, I want to do the plank challenge, and find time to work on my flexibility and find time to practice my handstands, and pole. I thought hooping looked cool. It is too much sometimes and I feel like I’ll never get good at anything.

Mostly I’m just happy I’m getting stronger and better. There are moments of insecurity though, I think everyone has those.

Yeah, I totally get that. I bet they don’t like polish the base the same way or whatever because it’s not really needed, I’m sure they just coat it so that the color matches and call it a day.

Aren’t all the Xperts NX now?

And, I have to say my gut says its real… I think the fakes are pretty obvious. Like parts are plastic, the dome is a different shape and they don’t even have xjoints… I could be wrong about that.
