Thank you for the feedback, that makes sense lol. There are times when I have to reset myself because I’d let my hands hold my weight. But I feel like that memory comes with practice. This is about my fourth rest day, but I’m feeling good about it. Going to do some warm ups later tonight And see how it feels to dance!

I’ve seen poles that “give” a bit when pressure is applied. I think it depends on the height of your pole. Even in a few of Veena’s videos she’ll do an invert and the pole shakes so hard I get nervous. Not sure how much “give” is appropriate but depending on the length and type it can be normal. However, I have the Xpole Xpert as well ranging from 7-9 ft and mine doesn’t shake at all, so again, I’m not sure. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

I was thinking about getting gloves, after paying attention closely, I realized in the beginning the slippage was from to the pole not coming clean enough when I wipe it. But now I noticed it’s because I sweat. I figured the gloves would give me a better grip as I built strength in my hands. But I feel like I’ll become reliant on a grip aid or gloves and so I’m hesitant. To counteract the “nervous hand syndrome” I dry my hands along with the pole. But I still slide a little bit. I think I’m going to try the vinegar first. If that doesn’t work….grip aid here I come lol.

Ahh, Thanks for the tip. I figured covering the silicon would cause slippage, and I’m not one to dance with an unstable pole. I’ll definitely try the magic eraser, Thanks ladies!
