I am currently only doing 3 days a week of stretching so I did not think I could damage anything with that! But I will take a break until they stop feeling funny. (Except for pole lessons ;P ) Do you think it would help bandaging it up for support or anything?

How long/ much use is the average amount needed to break in a new pole?
Thank you 🙂 -
I got mine last Christmas and I have exactly the same problem! I don’t trust it enough to invert (despite being able to just fine on both sides at my studio) I thought if I ‘broke it in’ by using it it would help but it hasn’t got any better. Wondering if I should see if I can sell it and get a brass one instead that has more grip because there is no point in a pole I’m too nervous to practice anything other than the easier spins on.
Any tips? -
Thank you very much 🙂 I won’t use the carpet then, don’t want to slip. I got the site manager in to have a look and he said it’s just that the paint is old and it was on the joist, so he gave me the go ahead to put it up properly and he said he would just repaint the ceiling.

I don’t have the space for plywood :/ there is a weird box suspended from one corner of the ceiling and a light so there is no space. Thank you for the suggestion though. Somebody from my uni society just suggested using a piece of carpet to protect the ceiling instead.

I hope that’s all it is. I have decided that it’s probably best just to try it this year and re paint the ceiling at the end of my rent time. Hope I can do a convincing paint cover up 😉
Thank you for replying, it’s really reassuring to know it isn’t just me lol.
