I have purchased lessons in the past but have found that if I don’t have someone home with me to critique what I’m doing or spot me, I don’t end up trying things I haven’t done at the studio. Someday I hope to set up a way to record myself during practice and perhaps this will become a nonissue. I think they are very well put together and a great deal- so much knowledge for so little money!

My pole lives in the basement since the ceilings are 9′ and I have the most room for spins. The pole room is also the kids’ playroom, which means I only get to practice when they’re sleeping or not home. They actually incorporate it into a lot of their games and have learned climbs, inverts and make up their own spins. I have been running a dehumidifier all summer to keep from slipping off the pole- my pole was in the garage at my old house and it was too humid in the summer and way too cold in the winter (I live in Minnesota)

I have longer legs (35″ inseam on my pants) and can barely touch my toes on a good day! I think it’s probably due more to my lack of stretching/flexibility training than my leg length though

Most doctors I have seen prefer you are not on your period for a pelvic exam, but I think if you are having pain they may make an exception

No yogurt in your va-jay-jay!!! According to my OB-GYN, sugar can throw off your pH, and yogurt has sugar in it. I’d just go to your doctor

Go to platinum stages website, they will make custom heights and have several brands with ceiling adapters available

Good point, ChemGoddess1- I have been planning on insulating it and installing ac/heating systems anyways, so now I have more reason to get it taken care of. What kind of pole did you have? I was not sure what would be safer with concrete, the kind that gets screwed into the floor or a different system? I don’t want it to fall apart mid-trick and crack my head open
