The platform sole of my shoe is peeling off. Its on a clear pair of Pleasers. What is the best glue for that? I don’t want to use super glue because I think it will dry too hard?

This sounds fun! I want to get my shoulder mount. Just started training for it last week.

My knees are the opposite of my hands. They need to be slightly sweaty for them to have good grip. Sometimes even after warming up and warming the pole it’s not enough. I use one spritz of medium on the back of each of my knees. That helps me perfectly! Good luck!

I’m a esthetician and you should try waxing! If it’s a clean nice spa then you shouldn’t have a problem. I always clean the area off afterwards. Then have my clients shower when they get home with a anti bacterial body wash. We also sell Bliss brand ingrown hair eliminating pads. http://m.sephora.com/ingrown-eliminating-pads-P63308?skuId=1176411 Read the reviews, they’re awesome! Kind of expensive, so I cut mine in half for my bikini area. They won’t dry out your skin or don’t burn or sting. You can use them directly after shaving or waxing. I would use these to prevent ingrown hairs. As for the one you are explaining. It sounds cystic and infected. You should go to the doctor so they can give you antibiotics. A nasty infection will spread and leave scars. Hope that helps!

Okay, so other than cleaning it my skin seems too soft to grip it, not dry just soft. So I’m thinking i need to warm up a lot and get a little bit sweaty to have some grip?? Or use oil free lotion to provide some sort of stickiness?? Here’s the story: I went to pole class, went home, showered, no lotion, went back to practicing sad girl. I would get into position and my thighs slid right down to the floor. 🙁

    Thanks for replying so quickly!

Good to know there is no break on period.
The room the pole is in is upstairs and is pretty warm. Having a cold pole doesn’t seem to be a problem….I will use windex but I want to try the vinegar too, is that safe for this pole finish?
What grip aids would be best?

Or are you saying certain lotions with provide a grip/stickiness to the skin?

Since my skin is more on the oily side I find it better to not use any lotion before poling.
I haven’t invested in any grip aids yet, I was hoping the powder coating would help with slippage…maybe I need to warm up the pole really well first??
I won’t use alcohol, what about white distilled vinegar?
With steaming, should that be done each time before poling or every once in awhile?
