Yea I was thinking of the cute wiping of the pole, could mayeb make it a bit erotic.. lol! do i have anything more sexy than a teatowel though… haha. Its good to hear that things will get better. For now i’ll just have to go with the ‘looks-like-floorwork-but-im-actually-wiping-my-hands-on-the-carpet’ move!

Yep i’ve been taking them for a month so far, and they’re brilliant. I don’t know if you’re a total beginner, but I was, and I found there was loads to do, even before I had built up very much strength. There are tons of lessons, and Veena goes through everything step by step. Also, in the spirit of Valentines, there are lap dance lessons coming too!

Yeah I’ll have to look out for those. I’m in Ireland though so I don’t know if we have those exact products.. and would be silly to pay $30 shipping for a $10 order! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif I actually managed a whole dance there with only one stop for wiping… but i forgot to bloody record it! (Now im angry and sweaty!) LOL!

I’m currently trying to do this challenge, but it is impossible for me to dance for a whole song without having to wipe the pole and my hands! I’ve tried shaving gel, hair spray etc. none of it works! I clean my pole with window cleaner and when i start its perfctly grippy. I alo know its warm enough as ive been dancing for an hour now! I just get so freaking sweaty, then I get annoyed, and as a result i get even sweatier. Half the time in my vids, im wiping my pole… and thats not sexy!
What can I do??!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Yep they look real alright!

I think that Xpole UK do actually sell their Xpoles online nd they are totally legitimate. I remember seeing them when I was going to buy mine. If you ar unsure, call the number on the xpoleuk website, and they can confirm if the seller is legitimate or not.

As if gathering momentum is the hardest thing about pole dancing! HA!
I have tried spinny mode a couple of times, but all I did is jump on a spin til I felt sick and jump off again! I find it really hard to grip as it moves and doesn’t feel solid like a static pole does. I think its harder to grip too, when the G force is pulling you away from the pole.
I’m really going to try spinning mode again, at least try to get some basic moves down on it.
(Might stop me getting blisters on my hands too!) -
I find I grip the same when doing one armed spins. It was just a matter of waiting until my arms were strong enough! Just try do spins the same way you do normally, then take one arm off?

Oh, it curves? no, you couldn’t put it on the part that curves, I don’t think. I don’t know about the beams either, 8cm is pretty small! I know how you feel though I hac ceiling issues too. Is there anywhere else you could put it?
-
I could be mistaken, but isn’t it the case with concrete ceilings that you can put the pole anywhere? Your ceiling looks like it’s made out of concrete bricks?
-
I put my pole centred on one joist as my ceilings are odd, and we could only confidently identify one. I invested in a joist finder, which doesn’t work on plasterboard, which my ceiling are, and the knocking method doesn’t work on it either. So i’d say if you joist are close enough, go between, but if theyre further apart, it’s probably okay to go on just one https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_porc.gif

Hi Brierly!
I’m from Dublin, so not too far from you either. I have been poling for about a month, when I bought an xpole. Would definitely recommend you getting one. And if you do, buy it here http://www.x-pole.co.uk/
That’s the official website. They have tem for sale on ebay too, but if theyre real, they cost the same! If they cost less, it usually means they’re fake. Also, the poles out now are new ones which are easier to put up than the old ones. I have a 50mm chrome and I love it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
I’d say a lot of people started off just poling once a week at classes. I never went to classes, so I don’t know what it’s like. If you’re unsure about it, you could take a few more classes. But, if you know you’re hooked, then why not get one? (I’d check your ceilings at home are suitable first though, mine nearly werent!)
