I think I understand, as I know what you mean about the joints not tightening. I have a much smaller ceiling though, so i’m not sure it is as much of an issue. I’m just going to try to leave mine up as often as possible so avoid damaging the joints. I’m sure Xpole will replace yours for you if you think they’re faulty.

Oh right, maybe i’ll try that next time I take it down. Yeah, the first time I put it up the bit between the A nd B poles got twisted, obviously because I hadn’t tightened them enough, because I physically couldn’t! Gave it a bit more elbowgrease this time and seemed to do the trick! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Thanks for that link chemgoddess.. I found some dancey type workouts that would do great for a 20 min warm up.. even if it is extremely corny https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

They put vaseline in the Xjoints where the hex key goes in??
Those Xjoints can be a b*tch to get apart, or to put together!

Oo that’s kind of soon for me. I’m not sure if i’ll know any moves by then, lol!
Also, i’m in UK anyway the weekend of the 13th/14th, so to come back over so soon might be hard.

But if I can’t make this one, you guys go ahead and i’ll make an extra special effort to get to the next one!
Keep me posted anyway and i’ll see what I can do https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know where to get pole shoes/boots in Dublin?

Glad you got Veena’s lessons, i’m a total beginner too. I also got a dvd (poleeexercise.co.uk). It’s probably quite good for intermediate and advanced people, but I couldn’t even attempt the strength exercises on that dvd.
I’m focussing on doing Veena’s strengh training and pole sits etc, before I start fully trying spins, as I don’t think my upper body strength is quite there yet!
    Yay for beginners https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Haha, yeah on my headstand clip on the first part of my video, as i land on the floor i’m smiling, because he was telling me to spin on my head! He was totally serious too.. talk about unrealistic expectations! I did scream at him when I did a pole sit, but by the time he’d paused the game, i’d pretty much slid down. Needless to say he was unimpressed!

Phew! Not the only one. Yeah when i record myself, I have to put music over it to hide the shooting sounds in the background https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Oh, how did the old adjuster cover stay on then? I have to say I haven’t had any problems at all with it. Only that a couple of times I forgot to tighten it fully and it rattled when i hit off it, but it seems fine to me so far. My X joints look a bit rounded though, which is bad. I’m afraid I may have done it when I first put it up, as it’s quite difficult to get the hex key all the way into the x joints to tighten them. Sorry i’m probably totally confusing you!

When did you order yours? because I got mine very quickly, which was great, especially in the snow! The 180mm x joint is only used if you need the 125mm extension, which I did. I was king of stuck because my ceiling is within the 125mm extension height bracket, but when we put it up, the adjuster screw was just over 5 inches, but the bigger extension wouldn’t fit! So I called them and they said up to 6 inches is okay, they just leave extra safety margin. Oh and sorry the 200mm x joint is used to connect a and b poles and also to connect the bigger extension if you need it.
