Thanks so much for watching it! Yeah the back hook spin never really happened for me.. i don’t remember putting it on the vid haha! But I will look back on it and will try moving my inside arm next time I try it. Regarding the fan kick, I feel like it would be crazy to give anyone tips on anything lol! I just found that your inside forearm needs to be at the front of the pole, and then i just swung and went for it. I used this vid, it’s quite good.

And my boyfriend has ridiculous upper arm strength. In fact, when he jumped on the pole in the video, he pulled it a couple of inches out of place.. better not let him on it again!
You should definitely put up some clips, i’d love to see!

Also, are there any other moves you’d recommend I try?

    Hiya,

I have a tongue piercing and have had for 4 years now. If you do get one, make sure you get an acrylic ball as it will not break my teeth (i broke mine on the titanium one… was lucky it turned out to be a small job!) But get the acrylic ball with a metal bar as it wont irritate the inside of the wound.

I’m studying medicine, and although we are not supposed to wear tongue studs on rotations in the hospitals, I do anyway, as it’s not visible, unless im throwing my head back in laughter (which doesn’t happen much in the hospital lol!)

Oh and for the 2 weeks after, don’t go for babyfood, its gross! Smoothies, mash and beans… or just throw small bits of food down and swallow them like a bird hehe!

Also, you should go for a shorter bar as soon as it will fit. When i got mine done I had to go back to the piercing place to get the bar shortened every couple of weeks until my tongue was back to normal.

Regarding food, i’d avoid chewy sweets until you’re totally used to it, as I broke my tooth chewing on a starburst, and this was a while after I got it. Also I find noodles get a it tangly lol! but they’re totally worth it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

thanks for that do you mean when you put the A pole onto the base shaft? or do you mean the static / spinning screws should be tightened up really tight?

To be honest, i’m not sure exactly how to say it, but it’s not involving the the spinning/static screws as it moved even though they were totally tight. It’s between the A pole and the base bit, yeah. I can try post a pic if you want, but you probably know what i mean, or at least you will! So if you make sure its really tight before you put it up, will save you having to do it again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif You probably would have known that anyway, but i’m totally new to poles so I didn’t https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Actually I would agree that it’s hard to know when to stop tightening (or loosening?) the pole to the ceiling. I just tightened it until it was stable, but then my boyfriend jumped on it and it wasn’t so stable anymore! Seems to be okay now. Fingers crossed. By the way, is there a rule of thumb as to when you know the pole has been tightened enough?

Hey I got my Xpert chrome 50mm this morning. It’s great. Had a couple problems with it and called xpole, but once I take it down and put it up again, it should be okay. I’m not really familiar with the old xpoles, but I think assembling the Xjoints take a bit of getting used to! Anything else you need to know?

(When you get it make sure the joint/screwy bit just obove the spinny screws is screwed on properly. When i span anticlockwise, my pole spun a bit (in static mode). Apparently it’s because this bit wasn’t tight enough, something that should be done when its being packaged, but isn’t.)

Okay thanks, it’s just werid because I was sort of able to do the sunwheel ankle spin earlier today and the martini spin (i think that’s what it’s called) but I can’t do them anymore. Might try and take a break and let my arms recover from the shock for an hour or so! Thanks for the advice so far https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I’m eager to get Veena’s lessons, only i’ve already ordered a dvd which is yet to arrive, and also I want to get a years subscription, so the cash flow is an issue too for now.

Apart from fireman and sunwheel, or ankle attitude (which i can only do badly) and a headstand, i’m totally useless! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif is it always this hard to start poling? I’m flexible-ish, and not unfit, but i think my upper arm strengh is letting me down. I’ve begun lifting light weights, but only about a week ago so I guess it’s not going to make a difference yet!

What is this about inverting onto a guy during a lapdance? Sounds cool! how do you do it? Any vids or pics??

I have the same problem! Only veg bf eats is carrots and peas. Gets boring! I have resorted to making myself fresh vegetable soup to make sure I get some beg even if he doesn’t. I nag at him, but it doesn’t work. I found that taking him to my parents house was a good kick up the ass. My mother was shocked when he didn’t eat his veg! Lol!

Anyway I think its about forming habits. He often makes curries and sweet&sour dishes, so I get him to put in lots of onions and peppers. Not very exotic, but its a start! I think it helps when they are covered in sauce! (As the same goes for kids). Oh, men!

(And with my bf, I don’t even try veggie meals anymore, he complains he’s still hungry as he’s convinced that meat is the only food group that fills you up!)

Thanks Gatorgirl, I didn’t realise they were suede on the sole. Guess i’ll just have to persuade bf that i need to invest in some nice heels https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif and use socks in the meantime!

Yep the Xsport seems to be the same as Kendra, but the Xpert is bottom loading and has spinning and static modes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Its a bit more expensive than the Xsport, but i think when youre spending that much, its worth the little bit extra if you can afford it
