Yes I did a class with pink ladies in haverhill and then a class in the YMCA, I cant remember the girls name, but it was just me and her as it was a hot day so no one else came, it was great!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I try to schedule pole classes when I go over as I miss my pole when I’m away https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif but this year ill be there around new years, so I was thinking there’s probably not many classes on, would love to find a studio that does open pole hours or something, but there doesn’t seem to be any dedicated pole studios rather than rented rooms. Do you know of any? What studio do you go to?

I relly want a 45mm pole and i’m torn between TG and chrome, I have a chrome 50mm and I fidn it slippy a lot of the time. I now only clean it with a microfibre cloth and elbowgrease as the glass cleaner seemed to leave a slick buildup. Im in negotiations with a guy who is selling an xpole, still in the box, an unwanted present apparently, he thinks it is 45mm and is hopefully going to check tonight and tell me whethere its TG or chrome (seems weird someone doesnt know this, but whatever!)
I was thinking I’d looove a 45mm TG, but then I mightnt like TG, so should I get it if it is chrome anyway? (which i’d say is more likely. Ah dilemma!! It’s so difficult to find second hand xpole on an island, lol, and shipping is expensive otherwise..

SInce we’re talking about yogini.. how does one get in to it. I sort of tried it the other day and not happening! I suppose it is a difficult move any with the armpit gripping?

When I began poling or even now when I’l trying a new move, if the pressure is on a fleshy part (i.e. upper arm or thigh) I notice a bunch of stretchmarks there afterwards. I was worried about it at the start, but then I saw that they go away, so it doesn’t bother me anymore.
In terms of pole sit, maybe try little and often rather than forcing yourself to stay on the pole? Like say you’ll do it 5 or 10 times per practise, and stay on as long as you can, but when it hurts THAT much, get off, you will get it eventually, and it is the most basic moves (pole sit, crucifix) that really hare the hardest to get in my opinion.

Ah good for you strawberryss!! You must be delighted, I remember waiting for my pole in January, checking my email every 5 mins for a despatch notice. I’ve never tried a brass or TG pole, would love to try it sometime, I’m sure you’ll love it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I’ve been wondering the same thing, as when I have some time off work I like to pole as much as possible, but realistically, if I’ve had a decent pole workout, I’m too stiff and my muscles just don’t seem to work as well the day after, like today, I would LOVE to pole. Also when I began pole dancing, I did it on consecutive days and ended up pulling part of my triceps I think (was probably down to not being properly warmed up as well) but it scared me, so I try to avoid it now!
As far as the exotic dancing goes, if your referring to dancers in club who don’t do acrobatic stuff, a lot of what they do is probably more cardio than full-on strength moves, and its fine to do cardio every day, so if you want to just dance without straining your muscles I’d say it’s fine to do, but I know I cant help inverting when I get into it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
