I'm not sure how long it was when you bought it but if you paid thru Paypal, you can dispute it to get your money back! If the product was not what it says or you got something different even if it is deffective, dispute it. It may take awhile to get your money back but you will. I only deal with Power Sellers on Ebay and there certain things I will not buy on them as well especially electronics. If you paid with a credit card, you can call the bank where the card issued and dispute it there.

Keli Roberts has a dvd call Flexibility for the inflexible. I bought it and it's pretty good for me. My right hip muscle was so tight, been to therapy for it but using the roller helps. Yes, it hurts but doing it every other day help loosen the tightness so, it's doing better. I got the dvd from Amazon. I figure I'll will start offf with the basics.

It will take you to a video on Youtube. Xpoles operates on the tension between the floor and ceiling. I don't think the dome wouldn't matter, you need to mount the pole on the joist so when you increase the tension it will be stable and not move. I look into it, just to see they are mounted. By you having drywall, when you increase the tension I on the pole it would be more secure to me if it was mounted on the joist. I have a Platinum stage pole and mines screws in the joist and the floor. So I hope it helps you.

I have plaster so I had to go in my attic to find the stud beam in the ceiling and made a marking to drill thru. I heard it easier for stud finders to find it in drywall.
