Hi! I’m here! My little girl is just a week old now! I have been been taking this time to really connect with the family and get our little one settled 🙂 I started my workout routine this morning just some very light cardio and AA’s stretching for pole, goodness I didn’t realize how bad I had gotten! But that’s ok! Slow and steady consistency will get me there! My goals for the week are to do my light cardio and stretching 6 times this week and to walk an hour a day. So, day one 1/2 done so far!
You seem to be doing really good! Family and other distractions (for lack of a better word) can be a challenge to work around, but picking up whenever you can isgreat! KeEp up the good work! You finding time is encouraging me to do the same! -

Any ways, so my point was, that ok let’s day that this body mod EO actually went through… And we are supposedly given equal chance at jobs despite our choice in altering our bodies, that’s it. That’s shook is going to do. Give the illusion that we are being given equal rights. It is not going to change how a company can require a particular appearance while on the job. If anything, it’s going to restrict more peoples choices of dress and appearance by more companies making more stringent dress code policies to ensure nothing they feel could be damaging to their image could be seen on anyone in their employment. it will be interesting to see which way this goes….

So forgive nee in advance for going it is both 🙂
First let me say that I am a body mod enthusiast, I have large tattoos in hard to conceal areas and piercings on the face as well. I am very synthetic to the difficulty it cab present when establishing employment in the main stream.
That being said, I don’t think this amendment to current EO laws would have the effect desired should it actually come to fruition.
First, those laws are there to attempt to level the playing fields against things that are innate in a humane, not choices. One cannot choose nor easily change race, gender, physical disability, and if choose the two hot and debatable ones… Sexual preference and religion. Done argue that body modification is like religion, but good much of religion is really choice? Not much, especially those who have been practicing a faith their entire life, these beliefs are not easy to discard and change. It takes stupid tine and dedication to build them, and probably even more time to attempt to change. Embracing the trains of another faith is one thing, truly changing deeply held serial beliefs us completely different, and those who have changed easily, may big have fully embraced their first religion deeply. Just like one cannot help who they love, if you’re attracted to the opposite or same sex is hardly something one has true control over.
As for getting a job, ideally, the most qualified person for the job should gain employment, but this is the real world and unfortunately we are still judged heavily in appearance. And in some respects a company does have a right to attempt to determine it’s professional appearance. Just as we like to project a particular image, a company may want to do so add well -
An option to consider: a smaller home studio, perhaps in a very well done up garage (read: professionally finished, if you know what I mean), and offering private/party type lessons, which could also be done at their (the clients) home if you had a portable pole….

I just got aletheas DVDs in the mail yesterday and watched them last night (I like to think of it as exercising in my mind lol) I am really excited to try them and see what happens, I have lost so much flexy this round of baby baking and I wasn’t all that in the first place!

Although, I will probably be on SV from the hospital on my galaxy tablet lol, if I have to sit there minimum three days I might go through SV withdrawals without it, plus I will need some way tell the whole world of our arrival!!

Not quite! Lol the doctor said yesterday I am in pre lab (which I already knew that lol) dilated to 2 cm. I have the feeling the big show down won’t be till thursday though, fashionably a week late…. Starting out just like her mom hahahaha (I have a history of doing life in my own time)

Wait… What?! We need a reason to wear leg warmers?!! Oh man, I’m in trouble!

I had a piercing (the don’t triangle thingy in the center front part of the eat I can’t remember what’s the name of it) that seemed to not want to heal properly at all (it kept keloiding really big and I was afraid it would a: be ugly without the piercing and scar horribly out b: be ugly with it and scar horribly) so I went back to the Piercer who also happened to be a nurse. She told me to gently and lightly swab it with tea tree oil every night for a week, then every other night until healed. It finally worked but it took some time. It’s perfect now and no one would every know that it scarred so bad in the first place! So maybe talk to a doctor or nurse that may be familiar with tea tree oil and see if that might be an option?

This reminds new there is a hilarious video on you tube with Christina Applegate, just search prenatal pole dancing DVD, it’s so funny, at least I thought it was! 😀

I stopped a soon as I found out, but that’s me, and actually while I still did floor work and some very very light dance occasionally, I basically stopped any real advancement or strain. If you are in very good shape, I don’t see why you couldn’t continue with some (emphasis on some) basic stuff at home. just be Uber super careful! Talk to your doctor and all that jazz 😉

I rarely wash my hair too! people think I am crazy (or worse… Gross) but I have gorgeous hair! Nice curls, goes nice and flat when I want, pretty much any style I want, its shiny but never greasy, and so silky. I only have to wash when I do something really jazzy with products (which I try to avoid)
On the cutting issue, like literally four years ago I cut off all my hair into a faux hawk which I loved but I missed my long hair, and basically same story (it NEEDED cut) but here I am four years later with my locks down to my bra strap after taking really good care of it (semi regular trims, little heat, etc etc you know the usual suspects) any how, the point is, hair grows on average 6 inches a year, and that’s a lot so hang in their ladies! It will be back before you know it! And have fun with it in the mean time, there is a cute little doo you can flirt with that works perfectly with whatever you’re rocking now!

Thanks! I am super excited for you! I don’t have a studio and I am dying to get my pole back up, but good things come to those who wait! I am really glad I have my own though since I will be nursing as well! Yeah, babies take a bit of or bodies, but we are built for that! Again, its awesome that your getting back into your thing, its easy to set ourselves aside when babies come! Happy poling!
