Wow.  Reading this thread lets me know I'm not the only one with computer issues.  Thanks everyone…I've had video issues before that mysteriously come and go.  I'm afraid I'll never know enough about computers to make them always work but thankfully we have all these awesome people to help.  I've used Chrome and IE 🙂

Wow, there is so much to it.  I can Iron X on both sides twisted grip on left and right and Chinese grip on right and for some reason, maybe the non body alignment Charley speaks of, I can hold the Chinese grip the longest, the left twisted grip next longest and last the right t-grip.  I'm right handed!  I get everything on the rihgt first.  I think I might have to video tape this to see what is going one, maybe I am belly sideways in right t-grip.  I'll let you know if I figure that one out 🙂

Nikki 🙂  I dye my hair black from about level 7 blonde.  I used to be platinum blonde and gradually went darker to level 6 or so before taking the plunge and getting it professionally done black like I've wanted since I was a child.  My question refers to what you said about color not lifting color, what is the level developer that usually comes with black hair color?  I am curious but not going to find out what my 30 vol would do with the permanent.  IDK how long I've had the 30 either but it's moot b/c I'm not doing it.  But curiosity….

To Seratasmin, strictly based on personal experience, when I had blonde hair it would not grow past chest level, once I went black, it grew to my waist.  Maybe that's not important to you, not everyone cares about growing their hair, if I had short hair, like that's how I chose to have my hair for life, I would have a different hair color every month!

Stripperweb OMG that's comical.  They actually take time on there to hate on polers.  I'd go on there to stir it up but I so don't care.  The "friend" I had who got me into stripping was herself and ex dancer and she helped me be okay with getting into the biz.  But when Xpose opened it's first location in Towson her attitude was "go out and make some real money at it" but it was said with the same disdain alledgely on SW.  We ended our friendship in April '06 and by Oct I was teaching at Xpose.  Best thing that ever happened to me.

I feel bad for ladies who have never stripped, have no intention of stripping and still have to hear about how they are a stripper b/c of poling.   Being accused of something you didn't do suck regardless of what that something is or how you actually feel about that something.  Having said that, there are days when I think to myself "thank god I'ma stripper".  Mostly b/c of what I learned about life through my experiences.  I stopped dancing a while ago, right about the time I got good at poling.  Poling in the strip club is just damned frustrating.  No matter how much you clean that pole it will never be clean enough to work it like you know you can.  To top it off unless you get a musician or a some other type of artist, they don't care about tricks and you don't make any more stage tips than any other girl.  You still make all your money doing lap dances.  I finally couldn't deal with the hustle anymore and the frustration of not being able to actually dance like I could.

I've been a stripper for a long time now but it wasn't until I started teaching at Xpose that I could and did openly talk about it.  I am not ashamed of it and I think it's my attitude that I present about it to people that make it real hard for them to hold negatvie judgement about me.   I've found most people that stick with poling and get into the pole community don't even let it phase them.

Can you tighten Xpole joints while the pole is up or is it necessary to take it down?

I have one, when I made it I had no idea that you wouldn't be able to change the name.  I was trying to watch some pole vid that you had to prove your age and the easiest way around it re occurring was to create an account.  my user name is sexyaviva.  You would have thought that with a name like Aviva I could use my name but NOOOOOOO the insurance companies or whoever got there first 🙁  LOL.

AAaa it's millstream :shrugs:  you'd have to meet Scott.  I wonder how long you have to work there to "work off" that debt.  I lasted about three weeks.  I have no intention at this time of getting enhancements, though.  And their poles are the worst!  Brushed stainless steel. No grip!  Like I said, I didn't last very long there.

Meant to say physically can't in the first sentence and that I doubt that that is true.  Do they have an edit on this thing?

Sure I suppose it's possible that you can physically do the front/back split.  But I highly doubt it.  I'm not sure how old you are but after a certain age it takes longer to get there.  It also depends on where you start.  Splits take time.  Patience and time and dedication and the willingness to deal with the pain of extreme stretching is what it usually takes.  Now, you may have suffered and injury that will set you back, but you didn't mention one so I'm going on the premise that your hips are perfectly healthy.

After a certain age though stretching becomes like resistance training/weight lifting.  You have to give your body rest in between stretch sessions just like you do with weight training.  Don't give up you will get there eventually with enough time and persistance.  Video is invaluable, you will be able to see your progress, just like writing down the weights and reps when you strength train.
