More tired than I thought, kept reading it as Fight Club and was like you're not supposed to talk about it!! LOL

I'm so on and off with pole, getting involved would probably help me keep on it more.  Living on Long Island, I really have no excuse to not get involved.  Signed up for ticket notifications.

The best workout plan is the one you'll actually do and do consistantly.  I've know several people without asthma or other problems that could not get through P90X or Insanity.  It really takes a huge amount of dedication to make it through and will eat up tons of your time.

My friend bought P90X and I went through one session without problems, but decided it wasn't for me.  Tons of different pushup variations, but its still pushups and I think they're boring.  Maybe while your at the library get one of those magic eye 3D books to put under you so it's more fun to get closer and farther away from the floor for an hour.

Thank you very much for all the work you do!!  I did entry level webdesign several years ago and it boggles my mind how Webmaster was able to create a site this awesome alone.  Thank you for keeping the forums, videos, and comments clean with only 2 modderators.  Thank you for a free basic membership.  Thank you for no ads!!  Both on the site and for the site, I've yet to see an advertisement.  You're able to grow and be an amazing gathering place for the pole community only through word of mouth and that's impressive.

When I had a yoga ball to sit on all day I don't remember any problems.  It started getting cold and the cat wants to be on my lap all the time and well no more yoga ball.  I'm using a padded wooden chair now and noticed my hip will pop during leg lifts.  It's not loud, but I can feel it.  It's like my left hip is going over a speed bump at a certain point in my range of motion, but the right is still completely smooth.  If I lift my leg really slow it's not as bad but still there.  I can't say the chair caused the issue, I just noticed the hip popping around the same time.  The yoga ball definately helped with my posture and core though.

I'm in the US and the ceiling joists are set far enough apart I have to set it up so the middle of the dome (the pole itself) is right on the joist.  I remember reading in the UK joists are close enough the dome can touch 2 joists and they set it up with the dome in between 2 joists.  I don't know about Austrailian joists, but if you can only reach one put the middle of the dome on the joist.

It really helps to have a second person.  It's a huge pain to get it level when the top and bottom are moving.  You want to push it into the ceiling so it stays on the joist and then adjust the bottom to get the pole level.  I have a circle in pencil on my ceiling so I know exactly where the dome should be, makes it so much easier.

Leno is still on?!  If you get on his show, show him moves like "chin grip," "O'Brien spin" and "the ratings drop" pretend like they're serious names for moves.  I might actually watch his show for that.

This topic has been on my mind lately because I've been thinking of trying to go to a studio for the new year.  I'm going to be all honest and blunt.

I travel a lot for work and it's whenever they need me to so it's random.  I know I can't sign up for x-week sessions because I might not make it to any of them.

I don't like limited monthly memberships, where they say its montly, but you can only go to like 4 classes a month.  To me that's not a monthly membership.

I hate having to pay in advance for a bundle of classes.  If I've never been to your studio before and never seen you teach I'm not paying for 4 classes right away!  Just let me buy 1 test class or atleast sit and watch one class first.  I don't understand the mentality behind bundled classes from the begining.  If I go to 1 class and it's great I'm hooked like crack and I pour my $$ into your studio.  If I buy 1 class and it sucks I simply don't come back.  But if I buy 4 classes and the first one sucks I'll be mad, even if I go to the other 3 classes I'm going to be mad you made me pay for classes that suck and I'll go write horible reviews about your studio to make sure other people don't pay for a bundle of suck classes.  Maybe thats just me, I'd appreciate a studio owner explaining this one from their side.

I really like punch cards and real monthly memberships.  Drop ins are ok, but it usually means your sharing poles and I'm a pole hog lol.

I moved over a year ago and there are 3-4 studios around me I could go to, but because of their payment methods or online videos showing bad teaching, I don't go.  I could have poured a years worth of class money into a studio, but didn't.

Veena calls it the side spin:  https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/15f92672-b909-11df-856f-001b214581be

Alternative names and a variation: http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/1/angel/

The bow and arrow is something completely different and I started wtfing out that anyone would try to spin that. http://poledancedictionary.com/moves/288/bow–and-arrow-elbow-grip/

I had a Lil Mynx, set the adjuster exactly by the instructions before putting it up and never touched it again for 2 years.  I checked it periodically, it never moved and my pole was solid everytime I put it up.  I've read some threads where the adjuster was fiddled with after the pole is up and that's when people have problems.  Do not put it up then try to turn the adjuster.  Follow the instructions!!  You'll be fine.

I really don't like the idea of online voting.  We've seen how easy it is to duplicate things on this forum alone with all the double posting and we aren't even trying.  Imagine when you try and have the know how to double vote.
