I recently purchased the lessons and have just been plugging my laptop into the TV.  I'll talk to the boyfriend and test the lessons on his PS3.  It would be way easier than hooking up the laptop everytime.

Theoretically couldn't you view it from anything with a webbrowser?  What do we need to decode the videos?

I'm cheap and crafty and just had to try it…

I own a yoga mat and rubber bands, clearly you can make something like a foam roller with these materials.  Worked ok with light work on the legs.  Then I put more weight on and it smushed up didn't roll anymore.  I do not recommend the rolled up yoga mat, but I got an idea of how it could feel and work.  I'll be buying a real one.

Citing the Twinkie diet for Deesse Jesse because it does sound crazy.  The guy eating Twinkies was a nutrion professor even.

Might just be me and my man, but my lap dances always end early and not because he got bored.  I think most men would be so insanely thrilled your putting in the effort to really notice if its boring or taking too long.

Most of mine are on the spot free style to whatever song happens to be on at the time though.  My rule is it lasts as long as it takes.  Sometimes I tease about how I have to finish my routine and keep going, but stop before he gets too frustrated.  Just my experience, I've only taken 1 lapdance workshop.

Sorry if you think I'm creepy.  I know no picture, but I've posted around on and off for awhile.

This is why I don't have any photos, videos or information posted in my profile.  Its why my Facebook page is practically blank and locked down.  I make a habit of checking out my name in every major search engine every month.

You should download Picasa, the photo organization software by Google.  It will scan all your photos and allow you to sort by a person based on its facial recognition.  How long until you can put your picture into Google and find every picture with your face in it online?

Sorry I'm not trying to be creepy or an alarmist.  I don't even consider myself paranoid.  You just have to know whats out there and what can be done about it.  This is a good start at pushing for a change in the website security.

I have the opposite problem.  My Pleasers with the plastic toe strap size 9 were too loose, my toes hung over all the time with an inch in the back, and no ankle strap.  I thought they were too small so I bought a size 10 with the other kind of toe strap and an ankle strap and they fit fine.

I think I know the pole studio your talking about (just being in Utah and the description).  I personally had a teribble experience there and doubling up on the poles was the least of my problems.

The studio I was at they would sometimes try to put 2 girls on the pole at the same time learning aerial tricks (ceiling was tall enough for 1 to climb/trick, other floor/trick without touching).  To me thats very advanced and should only be done with much more safety instruction and trick instuction then they provided.  One at a time trading off was fine, but I personally refused to do any of the 2 at a time work.

I haven’t bought anything, but a coworker suggested I buy stuff from here http://clockworkcouture.com/ Some of their items look like a good deal, but others seem way over priced.

I was more punk/goth because I had friends that were and we’d go to clubs that embraced it. But then responsible adulthood kicked in and I stopped buying clothes for just one night a week/month, I moved away from them, etc. I think I’d totally be steam punk if I could find a club for it…and a way to fit it into the budget lol. I would get a lot of my stuff from eBay or piece together things from the thrift store.

I’ve always been pretty antisocial and get anxious in most social situations. However I made friends at work and we would actually hang out sometimes outside of work. The thing is most of them were men or were women who weren’t very girly. I worked in IT with a bunch of nerds so they weren’t very judgmental about you (just about what sci-fi you watched) and I didn’t feel weird around them. I’m unemployed now on the other side of the country, so I get to make new friends again.

Just reading about your situation, especially the word "hairstylist", triggered some anxiety for me. I had my friends from high school do my hair all the time, but I moved across the country a few month ago. My hair looks awful, my roots are like 5 inches and my cat has been eating the ends while I sleep, but I’m so scared to go out to new hairstylist in this new town.
Maybe its just me being a nerd, but I have prejudices against super girly girls like hairstylists, like they’re always judging my appearance, talking about me and going to be cliquey. I say this after calling myself a antisocial nerd and I’m sure it evokes all sorts of ideas what I’m like. Maybe you don’t have prejudices, but in your first post, you do specify you’re a massage therapist and they’re hairstylists so I bring it up.

I’d like to know where a good place to find friends is if you do find one. Being unemployed I don’t get out much and I’ve never made friends anywhere but work…and WOW lol.

My X-pert assembled the way it is now for in my apartment is great. Any product looks horrible if you read all the negatives. You should really analyze if you can live with the problems and fixes. I check my hex screws every time before I pole, I can deal with that and made it part of my warm up.

I do have an issue with the leftover extension’s X-joint. I need to tap the locking pin in a little because its too long to get into the rest of the pole as is. I’m just to lazy to mess with it because I don’t need it.

Last page in the booklet that came with my Xpole Xpert under the TROUBLE SHOOTING header:
Clean your pole with a glass cleaner or similar non abrasive cleaner. NEVER use water. Use a clean, smooth cloth to both clean and dry the pole tubes. Do not clean with an oil or spray such as WD40 or similar.

I think the WD40 thing was for the old screw together ones. Don’t use Water Displacement 40 on your X-joint pole.

I haven’t taken mine down for a real cleaning. I just used glass cleaner on everything when I put it up. I’m curious why you can’t use just water on it.

Only 5 months?! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif You can do a CAR! Most people would consider that advanced.

You look like your having a blast on the pole. I wouldn’t worry about if your "good enough" but if you meet the requirements. I say go for it and just have fun!! Your video was enjoyable and showed more moves and skill than other amateur competitions of your level I’ve seen. However, some of them they limited the newbies in what they could do (no superman, adv plank, shoulder mount, or the like).

The only negative I have for you is that you looked like your were struggling to get into some of the moves. Like using the bottom of your foot to help get into an invert and climbing with the bottom of your feet. If the competition requires shoes you wouldn’t be able to do those moves how you are now. You should really work on climbing without using the bottom of your feet. But January is another 2 months away and you totally have the time to work on that.

Cute routine. Go for it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

One of my X-joints locking pins was out too far and I couldn’t get it to fit in any of the pole pieces. I had one usable one and didn’t need the bad pin one for the extension so no big deal. I called Xpole on it anyway just encase I move and need to use the extension. They told me to tap the locking pin a few times with a hammer, try it again, tap, try, etc as needed. I don’t have a hammer to try it, but I’m nervous that I’d tap it too far in and have the issue everyone talks about. It is quite the complex device, but it just seems like they could have better solutions. Why is the locking pin not locked in place on the Xjoint?

I mean this totally neutral, not commenting on how people placed at all. Does anyone know how was this contest scored? I ask because at one point the host asked the judges to explain how they were scoring and KT Coates said "I don’t know." https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif Did she just kind of freeze up on the spot or was there really not a set way to score? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I hope the contestants had guidelines even if they weren’t shared with the audience.

October 26, 2010 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Anyone have xpole vualted mount?

I’m really curious what the dimensions of that mount are. If we assume those are 1 inch screws then maybe the mount has a little over a 2 inch diameter. Standard US joist is 2in, I’m not sure about vaulted, so I’d be interested to know if all the screws make it to the joist. Also assuming a 1in screw with say a 1/4in thick mount + 1/4in drywall (sometimes 1/2in), it leaves you 1/2 to 1/4 inch left to grab into the wood. Considering when they hang 1/4in drywall they use 1in screws, I’d get some longer screws, at least 1.5in. If that mount didn’t get all screws into the joist, I’d go even longer into the wood and get some heavy duty drywall mount screws, like EZ-Anchor.
