I mentioned poling to my OB before and she kinda gave me a crazy look but knows how into fitness I’ve always been so she said as long as I don’t do anything extreme. I was just learning to invert but I will be steering clear of that until after the baby. But some simple spins, dance stuff, and maybe climbs depending on how I’m feeling would probably be all I would be daring to do.
Veena – I will definitely check it out. Thank you!!

But I know I have to make the decisions that will get me to my goals but I don’t want to let anyone down in the process. But all I want to do is pole in my downtime so I really need to get my own pole quickly because although gas prices are dropping, driving 40 miles every other day to and from class would get pricy pretty quickly lol

Hi Ladies!! I’m also fairly new as well. Have only been going to classes for a month. Still have not ordered my pole yet 😞 which poles did y’all purchase??

MemberSeptember 20, 2014 at 7:14 pm in reply to: SS Platinum Stages Pole or Chrome X-Pole?Y’all have just added another option for me to look at! I have found that my chrome pole does seem to get cold sometimes which sucks. I’m sure after a week or so I would adjust to the gold over silver, guess it really isn’t that big of a deal.
Also I seem to have a hard time gripping the 50mm with back of my leg, do you think the 45mm will help with that since it’s smaller? I know people say if you learn on a bigger pole is easier to adjust to smaller ones which is a plus, but the struggle at home is real sometimes and gets a little bit frustrating lol

MemberSeptember 20, 2014 at 5:13 pm in reply to: SS Platinum Stages Pole or Chrome X-Pole?@AllysonKendal thanks! I do keep seeing about the titanium gold poles and how much everyone loves them. I think I’ve shyed away from that because aesthetically I’ve always preferred silver over gold. But if it’s a better pole I will add it to my list lol. You’re the first person I’ve seen to say that the SS is grippier than the chrome but the fact that the poles in the studios are much more broken in is a point I never thought about. Who knew so much thought would go into choosing a pole?? lol
