You should only have to turn the pole a small bit, so it shouldn’t really matter which direction. What I did is completely loosen my pole, then tightened it up until it was both tight against the ceiling and the holes were lined up with the grooves.

loosen those screws, and then rotate the pole so that the holes line up with the grooves on the inner rod. then tighten the screws back up again. they should go all the way in, and you should be able to tighten them completely (but be careful not to overtighten). it took me about 5 minutes to fix it

thanks for the info! I just fixed mine, very simple solution! Hope the threads haven't been damaged by my mistake!

When I first put my Xpole up, those screws went all the way in, no prob. I took it down and put it up again recently, and now those screws are sticking out on my pole too! It’s tightened all the way, they won’t go in any further. I’ve been meaning to call Xpole and ask, because its not supposed to do that. It definitely scratches when you’re working near the bottom of the pole. Hopefully someone here has a solution!

I get very dry skin in the winter, one reason why I love ! I just use regular, Curel, unscented, lotion each night, after my pole session. By the time I pole the next day, it’s been long enough it won’t make me slick, but it keeps my skin moisturized. Doing this regularly keeps my sticky all winter!

Pulled hamstrings take a long time to heal, sometimes months. My pulled hamstring took 9 weeks, and it was fairly minor. Just treat it gently. Gentle stretching, massage, anti-inflammatories. If poling bothers it, keep off. i was able to go back to pole after about 2 weeks, but still had to avoid deep flexibiloty training for a lot longer.

I wish I did! its not "essential", but its definitely helpful! When I'm at home, and have no mirror, I also video myself so I can see what it looks like. At the studio we have really large mirrors and they're great! Its really nice to be able to see what you look like when you're trying something new.

competing at Midwest in Aug was one of the greatest experiences of my life, so my suggestion would be to do it! however, some people do find out that they really don't like competing, and that its just not for them.
I heard Mary Ellyn's announcement about the four semi finals, but I haven't seen more details anywhere. are the other three semi final locations announced? are there rules about needing to live in certain places to be eligible? or are we just waiting on more information to be released?

i second the suggestion to wear heels, to make your legs look longer! it really does create the illusion of really long legs.
if you're trying to change the appearance of your body, your food intake is crucial. You'll only get partial results if you're working out, but ignoring how/what you eat.
that said, I wouldn't get too caught up in the way your body looks. if you're healthy and fit, then you're perfect just the way you are!

LOL, i'm at $525, and ALL of them happened within the last year and a half! before then I'd done hardly anything on that list, LOL, its been a helluva ride!

is it on just one side? sounds like a pulled hamstring to me. your hamstring attaches at the hip/glute area, and thats a common place to feel pain when you've pulled the muscle. rest, ice, NSAIDs, and slowly start back into very gentle stretching. could take weeks or months to heal. my hamstring pull was very, very minor, and it took a solid 9 weeks. sounds like yours is a more serious pull, and it could take much longer. (i'm just a person on the internet though, always check with your doctor or physical therapist!)
