MemberFebruary 28, 2015 at 1:17 pm in reply to: Tops and tips for Big boobs- a resource postIt is so hard to find the right fit! By 19 I was a 32E and had decided to get a breast reduction. As a girl who was only 5’1 and 105 pounds they were huge. I became a 32D afterwards (pound out of each boob!). Even now at 28, 5’1 and 125 pounds, I struggle to find the right fit. My boobs are a bit wider and most stores don’t have something that fits right even if they have my size. Victoria’s Secret still insists that I am a 32C but my boobs spills out and a 34C would have my boobs falling out the bottom. Even a 32D I wear on the tightest setting but a 30D is a bit too tight. Once I do manage to find the right bra, I wear it until it dies! Haha.

Hope it is going well for you. I am doing much better this time around. However, I skipped the intro day since I already watched it and then did a rest day with the tasks but didn’t watch the video since I remembered it from before, and now my 30 day takeoff is out of sync. It says day 2 but I am on day 4. Oh well. I am also trying to not to get ahead of myself. Been practicing some knee tucks and feel I could invert again (at least the basic one). Trying not to yet though. It is so hard waiting but I know it will be for the best.

I hit the restart today but don’t need to redo the “Getting Started” lessons. So I did day 1 today. When are you restarting?

I will restart the program. Would you advise to only do the program or can I add things as well? (Other strength and stretch moves).

A combination of attention span and doing some things I learned from my old studio. Also, still need to get the bands and foam roller.

How are you ladies doing so far? I am re-evaluating the 30 day takeoff. I know its a great program but I am one to get distracted easily. I haven’t done all the videos each day which feels a bit like failing at what I should be doing. I think I may switch to my own routine of 3x week pole work/strength training and 1 day flexibility training. Maybe if I create my own schedule (but watching videos that correspond) I will be able to stay on track. Thinking of doing warm up video, some stretches, the strength training routine video, a few pole moves, and then stretch again. This would be 3x a week. Then one day doing the splits training videos as my flexibility training.

When I first bought a pole a while back (finishing masters degree abroad) I got a 40mm chrome pole. It was a lot easier for spins but harder for sits and holds. The studio I was going to had 4 poles : 38mm stand alone, two 45mm, and a 50mm. With my tiny hands I hated the 50mm but did like it for the holds. I could not spin on it though. The 38mm was nice for a while but the more I used the 45mm in class (we all had to rotate poles) the more I enjoyed it. It was a little harder for the spins but I think that helped build strength up. It was perfect for my sits and holds. I sold my 40mm before I moved back to the states. It was hard debating which one to get, but I ended up going with the 45mm. Even though spins may be a little harder I think it will be better in the long run, especially with learning tricks. And if I take a class it will be easier to transition to a 50mm from a 45, than from a 40.

Day 6! Haven’t been doing every video but already seeing a difference. I use some of the training I learned from my old studio. I have been using a seated spin as my indicator. Before starting the program I couldn’t really do seated spin anymore. Now I can do a full spin using two hands, or a quarter of a one handed spin (on my dominant side anyways). I haven’t worked on the other spins I learned at the studio. Waiting to get more of my strength back. By what I loved from the tips from lesson 6 was not to compare myself to others. I know I have done that before. So now I need to just make sure I am acknowledging my own progress, no matter how small it may seem.

I have half been doing it. Doing some of the exercises and then doing some I learned from another studio. Debating if I should start over and fully do the Veena exercises. I actually set out a list as well because I like lists lol. So 30 Day Take Off with some flexibility training involved.

I would like to join in as well. My hamstrings are incredibly tight. I am hoping that getting back into pole and stretching will help. I also will be adding touching my toes as a goal. I can barely go past my knees! 🙁

I am starting it too. It has been a while since I have consistently poled, so trying to get back into a routine.

For me it is not the price, as this would be much cheaper than in-person lessons which I can’t afford right now. I am just nervous about buying a years worth of lessons and then it not being what I expected. Having a longer trial period would be a great idea (7-14 day trial). I signed up for the 3 day trial but then life happened and I didn’t get to actually use it. I will probably just suck it up and buy it in the next few months and hope it is what is expected.
