i usually pole three times a week with at least one rest day in between. Everyone is different and will learn at their own pace and be stronger at different things. At the moment i am working on my dance and floorwork as that is one area i am not good at but i video myself every time and even seeing little things i like gives me motivation to keep going. Pole is a fun journey but just remember its YOUR journey and it will be different to everyone elses. Keep at it every small improvement is a milestone 🙂

i know its hard but try not to compare yourself to others as everyones pole journey is different. You will get there believe me just stick at it. X

i am the same i couldnt keep it a secret if i tried lol all my family friends and co workers know and thankfully i Havent had any negative comments. A few thought i was a stripper but soon changed their opinion and was impressed when i showed them some photos of the things i can do. Maybe i wouldnt be so open about it if i had faced negative comments but i guess i have been lucky so far 🙂

i decided to video myself today just doing spins and a bit of dancing and i look about as graceful as a baby elephant so i know exactly how you feel. I can do tricks and spins well but when i try and put a routine together it just Looks rubbish 🙁 i wish i could say something positive but at least we are in the same boat lol

well after debating about it for a week i came to a decision and decided to step back from classes for a while. Today i had my own little class at home and i really enjoyed it i feel i progress more on my own or with one friend. It is left open with my old class to rejoin if i change my mind but hopefully i have made the right decision 🙂

it wouldnt be easy changing into another class as i have childcare problems. I have spoke to the instructor who agreed i was at a higher level she said she would get me to do different things in class if they are learning something i can do but that hasnt happened yet. Its getting to the stage where i am bored in class which i hate feeling

hi and welcome from a fellow UK poler! I started pole in January this year always fancied giving it a go but never seemed to get round to it lol. I didnt do any sort of exercise before pole and had two kids so wasnt in the best shape but can honestly say pole has changed my figure starting was the best thing i have ever done. I go to a studio once a week but also have my own poles at home. It is a hard journey but deffo worth every bruise lol x

i bruise very easily on my legs so i know how you feel. Once i have been doing a certain move for a while i dont bruise when doing it but then i learn something new and i am covered again lol i had to explain my bruises to a doctor once which was interesting. Enjoy your pole journey x
