Ok, Im going into sailor mode, but ill do it politely. People like this piss me off to no end. They have nothing better to do than try to belittle people from behind closed doors. Who the f…k do they think they are? Yet, do you see them attempting to do anything even close to what Claudia is doing? Of course not. They will get karma zapped somehow, I pray! Im jealous of her split, its perfect and graceful and I think she looks fabulous. The people responcible for this bullying are weak and afraid. Claudia is a bold, powerful, beautiful woman who has no fear to do what she puts her mind to. Go Claudia!!!P.S. Dakota, you rock!

I agree with PoleFitMom. I teach pre-k and of course they want to “play guns”. I dont encourage this but they dont get put in time out over it either. I try to facilitate shooting webs or some other way for them to play good guys and bad guys in that manner. Redirecting them to play their game without using “guns” fosters creative play as they come up with different ways to play.

There are tutorials that are very helpful but you have to have the conditioning first to avoid injury.

Thanks Veena, Im sure I will. Im really looking forward to them. Not just the lessons but the conditioning as well. I really need that for my shoulders and wrists. The silver lining of not poling for a while is my shoulders and wrists feel great! Want to keep it that way!!

Thank you Write2Pole for your post and obviously StudioVeena for creating this site. I have been torn over trying to find a new studio as my studio no longer offers pole. No other gyms close to me. Anyway, in a weird way I almost needed to hear your story because I have been hesitant and in the process have not been poling like I want to lately and almost feel depressed about it. I had a plan to join SV but still have not done it. I jumped on my pole the other day for the first time in like 2 months and doing a couple of my favorite tricks put the biggest smile on my face. Like you said, I felt like a kid who got away with drawing on the walls!!! And also I am on this site almost everyday just to remain a part of the wonderful pole community that I have grown to adore. I miss that connection with the other women who were at my studio. So, alas I am joining SV and cant wait to get started!!

Just wanted to say thank you for this thread because I have been having issues with my wrist. my injury sound like yours UVA. I have reluctantly stayed off my pole for a while because as soon as it would feel better and i started poling it would hurt all over again. I am ready to jump back into it as my wrist has been feeling great. Ice and yes,I wrap it up!

I agree lilredrobinhood. I didnt have the same problems you are having AllysonKendal but a substantial part of poling is (for me anyway) having the strong motivation to pole. I know when i am in the studio with other women its the adrenaline rush that pushes me. At home its a whole different vibe than being in the studio, but I just have to push myself instesd of my instructior pushing me. It will get better.

I feel your pain. I had bursitis in both shoulders for a couple months. I went to a chiropracter who gave me shoulder stretching and conditioning excercises to get me back on track. I didnt stay off my pole but shoulder mounts were not happening, which killed me cause SM is one of my favs!I continue to do them 4 times a day and ice, ice, ice!!!you both will heal
