Plus, I read months ago, someone's TG pole was slipperier then chrome at first, maybe had to be broken in? Couldn't find it recently.
Thanks 😉

my diet is strict induction Atkins, no grains or gluten, no sugar at all, no prepared foods at all.
no fruit, milk, no potatoes, corn, even carrots and peas have too much sugar for me.
i eat lamb, beef, turkey, eggs, asparagus, broccoli, spinach, onions, garlic, some red peppers and tomatoes, and lemon and lime juice. thats all i eat. ever. i had to add a fiber supplement, and tons of vitamins of course. but my lips peel off constantly because i don’t have grains.
i used to be able to have oatmeal, and nuts, but then these made me sick, so i had to cut them out.
i’ve been on the atkins diet for 6 years, and if i’m not cured soon, my organs will start to fail. its hard on your kidneys, they can fail, you can develop diabetes.
we hope the gods and goddesses are with me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
i am seeing a candida specialist in chicago in a week, paid for in cash, not covered by insurance, sucks. -
you’re so sweet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
that’s the weirdest thing, i DON’T have any pain when i walk.
when i put antifungals on my back, or take antifungal medication, THEN my back hurts.
otherwise, lucky me, i have no pain at all. just knees like water and shaky and wobbly.i pray to god this exercising will keep working.
i have to go back to work on monday, or i’ll lose my whole life, because i won’t be able to pay for rent or food!its not on my skin anymore, it started on my foot, then spread to my whole body, but you can’t see it. its systemic, and none of the doctors believe that is possible.
gotta go

guess who finally put their pole back up…after a year!
the first major thing i did is finally clean my place. i have a lovely hardwood floor, but got huge lovely area rugs so i could do workouts on them and not hurt my back. but…i have to CLEAN them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i’ve had crappy vacuums, and i wasn’t going to get serious about getting on that floor until i finally hoover spin-scrubbed it (its a steam-cleaner, got one off craigslist).
i had to do it TWICE because it was sludge the first time.second–i ordered 2 pole workout videos. it makes me feel much less intimidated about spending time with my pole. i can do moves easily in class, but once you do a few spins, you don’t know what else to do, when you’re at home. i like these pole workouts, whether i follow them strictly or not, because i have some structured time with my pole, not just the pole "staring me down", waiting for me to do something.
i’m like, ‘i just got here, don’t look at me’ https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
third–i finally took the time to figure out how to monthly clean the pole. i had it up a month, and HAD to take it down after a month to clean it, no way i was going to let it get stuck up there! i assumed i would have to do it in the tub–guess who never cleans her tub. i spray it, but don’t scour it enough. once i decided to clean the pole last week finally–i decided it made more sense to get the corner of a kitchen towel wet, add soap and wash the screws, rather than getting all the inside wet. then i rinse out the rag and wipe off the screws, dry them and WD-40.
fourth–i’ve been home sick having problems walking, got so bored i finally cleaned up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif laying in bed for weeks hasn’t helped, i figure i’ll try to workout more!
omg, its one year since i got the pole, and its finally back up https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
ps. try not to do poling workouts right after you eat https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.giflis

what a nice time reading your responses https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
normally my turn-on list is tall, skinny, with long or shaggy hair–for guys! more of a hair FETISH https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif if a guy can put his hair in his mouth, i melt. (not like scary ratty hair tho)
lately snowboarder/skater Shaun White has resurfaced as one of my faves (i like girly guys, and he seems smart too, in addition to being hella-sweet, and talented)but there’s a lot of ‘sexy’ guys who just don’t show respect or interest.
i met this guy who is huge–6’2" and big, built like a linebacker, a frat guy! i typically date computer geeks who wear a lot of black https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
but he has the most active mind, fun conversation, and he is SUCH a sweetie, adores me, and seriously knows how to kiss.
so altho he’s way too young for me, its a good time https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
usually overweight is not for me, but this guy is so engaging and so much fun and a great lover, i don’t mind so much. super cute face and smile. -

wow, i tht having a pole at home would be the coolest thing ever (I have one now)–
what kind of ceiling do you have to set up silks?!?!?
that has to be a tiny bit cooler than a pole… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
so awesome!
don’t suppose you’d be able to post a pic of your setup???i had tht about it, but assumed it would be impossible, at least with regular 8ft ceilings.
what height/kind of ceiling do you have???wtg!!!

VITAMIN D
look up recommendations on amounts, a study came out last year that recommends much higher amounts than before, and it is linked to a lot of health issues. my hospital was passing out pamphlets. i take supplements nearly every day.
be sure to get the ‘dry’ kind, because the gels are usually with added Vitamin A, but in cod liver oil, you easily overdose on Vit A levels, which is dangerous.
i can’t remember if its 1,000 or 2,000 mgs/day, look it up.
also if you tan just once a month, or once every 2 weeks, it won’t do much harm if you just go for 10-15 min, and you feel like you just soaked up sun on a beach for 2 hours! its great! i cover up my face, to avoid wrinkles, and my lower arms, because they’re darker on me already.

MemberNovember 17, 2009 at 6:17 pm in reply to: pls help with an ‘exotic dancer’ questionRE: POI
thanks rouge, but i actually thought of spinning tassels first, then wondered if anyone else uses this in dancing…i found the poi after my idea!!! (they use soft balls)
so i bought the tassels already, i can tell anyone honestly i was spinning before i knew of poi.
i tied up some cord to practice, but knew i wanted tassels, so i just ordered them.kewl huh https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
and yes i want to try fire eventually, or at least glowing things, i guess a lot of people do that too
and poi were not always used as weapons, maybe the long poi, but the short poi (closer to what i want to do) are made to be soft so they are bounced off the body, more often used by women and essential in their storytelling practice.
