i think its more because you look super hot* than half naked.
i know some people can be half naked and not look like that. AND we are used to dressing half naked for pole dance…a lot of people aren’t used to looking at pics like this, you know https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
i know i got kinda pissed a few years ago (a few pounds lighter) when i wore pants and tops that fit fine–were not super tight, but they fit. other people overweight or even obese in our office wore pants that fit–i just happened to look differently in pants that fit than they did! and i did have problems with sexual harassment. so someone was talking about wearing less tight clothes or something. but that’s not fair if you have a different body so you have to wear baggy clothes??? maybe you should be thinking the other way around???

i’m sorry, that really sucks https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
they just weren’t ready for it, you know people ask for it, but they’re just not ready to really be comfortable.
if they asked for it, its their issues, not yours!
that does bite tho https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
cheers!

see i think it makes a difference on the size city you’re in, because that is usually directly proportionate to Cost of Living. I’m in Milwaukee, WI, and pay $17/class for an hour, everyone has their own pole.
If they don’t tell you you’ll be sharing in a class before you go, I’d be ticked off! We have i think 3 places here, but I chose the only one where everybody gets their own pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
i tht ours were wildly expensive, but last time i was the only one who showed up!!! and everyone had fully prepaid! crazy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

yes, and if you have extra weight you want to get rid of, i think it really helps get around on the pole.
i know i have a few to lose (already did some!), and i heard its MUCH easier on your thighs when you do the hold there

i haven’t said thank you, thank you very much girls https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
i was reminded of Madonna who used to? run 8-10 miles a day, and put on those choreographed shows while singing with the head mic (she was an accomplished dancer early on)
very helpful everyone https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
this pole thing is not only really fun (and difficult) it fits in really well with my inclination for costumes and show https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif i think https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

MemberApril 16, 2009 at 10:52 pm in reply to: cuts on hands–aching or poling for you? (my candidiasis)thanks everybody, i’ve had this problem for about 10 years, saw 4 doctors and a dietician, an herbalist, and other naturopaths. i’ve been forced to an atkins/protein diet for 4-5 years, because i get sick if i eat carbs.
i have candida syndrome, candidiasis, which by itself is notoriously difficult to cure, nearly incurable, and mine is by far the worst i’ve heard of.
i’ve read books and forums and websites and spent thousands of dollars on natural remedies, i’ve studied herbalism.i can’t eat any dairy, except some half and half if i’m daring, and a cheeseburger (minus bun) is ok. i can have like one strawberry or a few blueberries, but its mostly not worth it so i don’t eat them. i can have lemon juice straight, and i eat tons of almonds. other than that, its meat, eggs and salad veggies like broccoli and asparagus, spinach, onions, peppers, tofu or avocado sometimes. i can’t have deli meat or most sausages or chicken/egg salads because they all add sugar. every now and then i have a ‘veggie salad’ from the organic deli with some wheat berries in it. no pasta, no rice, no noodles, no cereal, no crackers/chips, no popcorn, no bread, no pizza, no fries, absolutely no candy, pop, cookies or donuts. no apples, oranges, grapes, pineapple, banana, plum, nectarine, no juice (except lemon or lime), no dessert.
i used to take garlic pills and probiotics every day for months and months, but now only occasionally because there was no change.
i’ve tried everything.
you can’t see it, you can’t catch it from me, its all inside my body. i can’t have any cotton in my bedding or nightclothes because it starts itching. about twice a year i have to throw all my bedding out, because it gets my skin ‘dust’ in it and itches.i hope someday it will be cured, but i’m ok eating my really expensive diet and spending a lot of money on vitamin supplements, because my diet is so restricted. i spend tons of money on the best spices (painstakingly finding ones with no sugar) so my food tastes good! i love spicy asian/curry.
