I took studio lessons for about 4 months and i got frustrated sometimes because I felt that it was moving too slow paced. I would get frustrated alot because I was a little ahead of those in my class but had to continue at the pace of everyone else. So far, I am really liking SV online classes because I can go at my pace and once I nail something I can move on. Or if I am stuck on something I can just practice until I get it right with no pressure. It’s been great. Give the SV lessons a try for a couple of weeks and then decide if you want to continue with studio lesssons…
I’m pretty much starting from scratch with lessons cause I took a couple months off from the pole and am now rusty and just want to work on perfecting the spins I learned in studio lessons and then move on to intermediate lessons. Check out my blog I am blogging every couple of days when I practice to record what I am working on, what I am having problems with and my progress and let’s be pole buddies! We can learn together…

Sadly, I have a carmen electra and a peekaboo pole because I didn’t know any better when I brought them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif worst purchases I have EVER made seriously. My husband has done some work to the carmen pole though to make it a little more reliable & sturdy but still I don’t entirely trust it and I def don’t do inverts or any serious moves on it…I plan on getting an xpole VERY VERY soon.

Thanks for the replies guys this really did help me decide what I am going to do! I think I’ll continue to work on static while I am still getting moves down and then graduate to trying out spinny in a few months when I have all my basic holds, poses, moves down solid. I want to be able to do it all! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Anyone can pole dance, it just takes time and patience. And we ALL suck in the beginning! And remember too that everyone learns at a different pace, so don’t beat yourself up about it! Don’t rush…take your time and remember that practice makes perfect! You’ll definately see a BIG difference in your progress every week that you practice…in a couple of weeks, you will be amazed at how much you have improved from day 1 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Don’t give up hang in there!

I’ve been really really really worried about this as well, as I got my boobies a year ago and just started pole dancing this year. I noticed that women who did have implants and poled their boobies looked hard and restricted from the tightened muscles in the chest. I paid too much money for these puppies, so I definately don’t want that! Sometimes I think about keeping my poling to a minimum, so that I can try and avoid a similar outcome to my beautiful boobies. But I really want to get into more of the advanced moves eventually, so I have been trying to find out if there is anything a girl can do to keep her muscles in line, so the boobies stay looking good and stay soft. Any tips?

I had a LEEP done over 6 years ago. It hurt but only because the numbing drugs didn’t take completely before they started the procedure! I cried through the procedure and was pretty sobby after it was done as well. And I’m no lightweight when it comes to pain, I had all THREE of my kids natural with no pain meds! But I am so happy I did it I haven’t had another abnormal pap since. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I’ve been lucky so far. I have a 3 year old, a 6 year old & 18 year old. My 6 year old is being homeschooled right now, so not many people for him to blab to about it and thank god, my 3 year old doesn’t exactly get the pole yet either to blab about it to others just yet. My 18 year old thinks its gross and weird (even though of course I am fully clothed when I dance) that I pole dance but I think that’s because he only associates it with strippers and not as an art or fitness/exercise.
My 6 year old is really good at climbing the pole actually and quick at it…he climbs it like a monkey. My 3 year old is pretty good at spinning around it lol I have to fight them some nights to stop fooling around on it, so I can practice!
My pole is smack dab in the middle of my living room. My in laws, friends and other family know that I pole dance for fitness and fun. Some think it’s cool and others are not too sure about it but I don’t care what people think I LOVE it!
